Our 2nd round pick who we really want to see step his game up, should be on Gillmores hip all off season long! Training camp and regular season soaking up any nuggets he can! Please give your thoughts...
So Gilmore is going to make him a “not immature idiot”? Joseph’s issue is what’s inside his head, not the athletic. If the coaches can’t get it out of him, other players sure won’t!

The way I see it, Kelvin Joseph had his NFL Baptism last year. His first year, he was kind of red-shirted.

People want to say Joseph stunk it up, but look how Nashon Wright came out of the gates sort of stumbling, and then actually had some productive games where he contributed to help us win.

Also, Joseph gave us a 2nd chance in San Fransisco, and that play was as HUGE, as football plays get. And I almost never use all caps, but the fact he made that play potentially adds a legitimate clutch factor element to his game.

We overreact when players don't play their first year with all guns 'er blazin' in Dallasth.

Not finger pointing, because I'm guilty of it, too.

Eh, I think cutting him would save about 200k, his base is about 200k less than what we’re paying Goodwin and he’s still a really good special teams player/gunner!

The 10-year vet plus a couple of rooks could push Joseph and Wright off the 2023 roster
Some people have said it is a deep CB draft. Gilmore makes a nice fit for a *quality* bridge player as we wait for a couple of draft picks to develop.

I could see a real cleaning of the house at CB. You don't trade for Gilmore unless your expectations for Joseph are about done.

Only way KJ keeps a spot on the team is if becomes a special teams ace. he currently at the end of the depth chart for getting snaps at corner.

I wanted KJ to be a player. He has the physical tools. But in 2 years he has not shown he can play CB. Lots of guys can run with WRs. The what separates the athletes from the CBs is how they play the receiver with the ball in the air. This is where KJ is lost. He can run, and even stay on the hip of the receiver. But he is lost playing the ball in the air.

He better clean up his mistakes on special teams because if he messes that up he could be a cut at some point in the preseason.

I'm still rooting for the guy but he better hope whoever was a fan of him coming into the draft is still a fan. At this point he has to be a fringe guy that could get cut in training camp or preseason. They've shown they aren't afraid to get rid of 1st or 2nd rounders after a few years. They aren't going to wait for him to develop. His only saving grace is he's on his rookie deal and maybe they see him as their Randy Gregory project.

Noone will beat him out at gunner.

He's almost the perfect gunner.

He needs a coach who can teach him.

Kelvin needs to be a bit more proactive. I want the coaches to work on getting behind him taking charge of his own destiny.

I know it takes effort, but they have resources to do this.

He's not even a bad corner. They all get beat.

Actually, no. If you've ever played corner or WR you know the defense oftentimes plays the ball off watching your eyes.

You can't run with your head turned backwards, go do it and see how straight you run.

If you can stay on top of the WR, that's the key. The rest you can do by eye reading.

That's 101 stuff, if you've played

The thing that got him beat was stopping and then going. His opponent stopped much faster, then accelerated by him. By the time joseph stopped, the WR already broke the go. I blame the coaches for not having a little more help on that play, and not preparing him.

Stop in goes can be some the most effective pass plays in the NFL. We all overreacted to him getting beat, to be honest.

Not a large enough sample size to see either way. No pun intended, but he killed it on special teams. That last play he made was big time baller..had so much potential...then dak threw it back to San fran.

I believe in Quinn.
He's made guys like LVE and Lawrence better players and leaders. This year I believe he'll focus on the back end.

Now back to the offense, you know, the guys who lost us a playoff game

He's one of their top STs players and $1.3 is minimum type numbers.
That’s something to be said about a late round pick. He’s a second rounder. Also, I’ve seen him make incredibly stupid plays on ST, featuring low football iq and lack of awareness. And I for one am tired of people making excuses for him. I havent seen a guy more setup for success and **** up. Only needed to beat out A.B. to start, couldn’t. Got fortunate with A.B. Injury and started to immediately be roasted. And because of his incompetence at CB it became a weak link that we had to keep throwing resources at and never fixed. Everyone loves Bland but to be honest bland gave up TDs too. The difference is bland also took the ball away. Shout out to DQ for getting the joneses to get a CB of legitimacy, Dude probably knocked on Joneses door and said “y’all better get stop Fing around and get me a real corner cause your pet cat bossmanfat is a bum and Bones agrees with me.”

Oh, so the Cowboys philosophy is to draft top Special team players at the top of the second round now, and here I thought the purpose was to draft every day starters early in drafts..silly me....Joseph is the same guy that got benched because he couldn't cover his own shadow last year.....and you wonder why this team doesn't compete for Superbowls anymore.....

The last guy I want on Gillmore's hip in the offseason is Joseph, he might find himself in an SUV when gunfire is taken place.....two years of Joseph's benched play and off field issues should end this training camp...
