i am still hoping "the light turns on" for him....but i did not see much "get up and go" from team this game

At this point I almost discount the pre season games altogether. They really are for these lower roster guys trying to shine. The playbooks are razor thin. The starters barely play. Guys have a coup,e series and go to the bench. Can’t get going like that. Camp reports have been pretty good for Joseph plus he doesn’t need to be a day one starter. It will be ok.

Is there some technique dbs learn to prevent being pushed off? As I see it that's the number one issue with both Joseph and Wright. In today's game I thought Wright did a good job on inside routes like slants.

Don’t worry. Next year we will draft a lot more rookies we will hope comes in to save the 2022 season. Happens yearly.

Too many got way too excited about him this year. He's talented, but extremly raw with limited experience in college. Always thought he was a depth guy this year.

It may be enough to move him to short term IR after the 53 is set. Then a player like Canady or Goodwin or both stay on the roster.. I had one of them on the roster anyway.
As I do not see Joseph having a huge contribution right away anyway.

I had Joseph rated no higher than a late 3rd round pick. Definitely not worth a 2nd round pick, much less a super costly early 2nd round pick. I've been proven correct once again.

Oh, well...hope he blossoms into a starter. If not, he'll be another to add to a long list of wasted costly 2nd round picks by the Cowboys.

With Rookies I’d wait at least until Thanksgiving before proclaiming they suck.


They’ve been in training camp for a month. These dudes are worn out and ready for a break before the season starts. On top of that they are learning something new and going against guys at the highest level.

At least wait until November.

Regressed all pre-season....Sadly....I think we need to go out and sign a vet that can come in and start. Not a good way to start the season.

Nothing much good or bad has been proven about Joseph at this point. We will just have to see how he progresses in year 1. He may be great or he might bust… but we certainly can’t tell yet.
