 Is this because he was still on the roster after training camp? Cause I know it can't be the fact that he was cut.

That's actually pretty interesting. We've got to be having some doubts about our safeties right now.

lol, so the answer is to bring Ken back?

Dude couldn't cut it for 2 games on the Raven's roster and stuck around here for years. Pathetic.

Per Jason LaCafora. Guess they found out he couldn't cover either.

I guess Raves did not get theo's memo about how great he was. :D

Yeah but sadly he may be better than what we have right now at FS. At least, Hamlin would do a better job getting the players lined up eliminating some of the confusion back there.

Just an FYI, I never said he was great. I said his coverage statistics were very good. If there's some reason his coverage statistics weren't an indication of how well he actually plays, I couldn't know that at all. Nor could anyone else on this board, because coverage statistics are the only way that we as fans can gauge the play of defensive backs.

People that pretend to be able to judge defensive backs on anything other than coverage statistics are ignorant and/or arrogant.

Yeah because in the new football Safeties don't have to tackle anyone.

Is it? I didn't say that. I just said it was interesting. It's interesting b/c he's a vet, it's after week one so his salary wouldn't be guaranteed, and he knows the system and plays a position where we're having trouble.

And what difference does it make if he couldn't cut it on the Raven's roster in a different scheme if the coaches think he might be an improvement here? What happened with the Ravens was irrelevant.

He might even have asked for a release. Anybody know the circumstances?

Ken was WAY overpaid. That said I think we are 1-1 right now with Ken at FS instead of Ball.

Seeing as his salary wouldn't be guaranteed and he knows the system, players, and coaches. And he could be brought in at a price much less than he cost when he was here. I wouldn't put it past us to bring him in seeing as we're not playing well at the safety position anyways.

I'm not saying I want Hamlin. But I'm not convinced Ball can play safety either. Maybe Mike Hamlin can play. Or maybe Qwasi.

:lmao2:

Are you serious?

I'd say a lack of plays made is a pretty good indication that this "coverage statistics" weren't a good indication.

Yeah, there was no way you could have known how terrible he was despite having to defend him from the rest of the board for a couple of months.
