Both have shown to be nothing to brag about in coverage, but at least Ken would dish out some hits every once in a while to keep the offense a tad tentative.

Obviously it's more than 2 but yeah I'm not saying he was a freaking beast in tackling. But if your coverage isn't gonna be that great do better than a bunch missed tackles (Ball).

No, turnovers in the secondary are largely the result of a combination of (i) luck and (ii) being targeted often.

Just an FYI, I never said he was great. I said his coverage statistics were very good. If there's some reason his coverage statistics weren't an indication of how well he actually plays, I couldn't know that at all. Nor could anyone else on this board, because coverage statistics are the only way that we as fans can gauge the play of defensive backs.

People that pretend to be able to judge defensive backs on anything other than coverage statistics are ignorant and/or arrogant.

Way to back peddle there. Everyone knows how tirelessly you championed Ken Hamlin before he was cut. At least man up about it. :laugh1:

Claiming Hamlin "consistently made huge plays" is a lot closer to "great" than you now claiming his statistics were "very good". Hamlin sucked Alan Ball(s) - we knew, they knew it, the Raves know it (took them only 2 games to figure it out) and now YOU know it.
