Might Ken Lucas be a decent fit here for the right price. It looks as if he is going to be let go in Carolina among a slew of releases they will be making if they are able to reach a deal with Jordan Gross.

He is 30 years old but from what little I watched of him he played at a higher level the Anthony Henry and would cost about half as much.

What is people's obsession with CBs?

We have several CBs already. Your mock has us drafting one early, and you want to sign a FA. Are we fielding the NFL's first full-time dime defense?

The Cowboys have holes everywhere, and people keep harping for more CBs.

*Shrugs* Unless you're certain that Jenkins and Scandrick aren't going to be good in the #2 and #3 spots I can't see why you need to bring in Lucas. You can draft one, a little later in the draft, to play the #4 spot and beyond that at the CB position.

Newman is getting injury prone...

Scandrick and Jenkins would be great filling in for him...but Alan Ball at nickel?? WOW ..we need to add one more DB this offseason..Newman will not play all 16 games.

newman started close to 60 something straight games before getting hurt 2 years ago. He has just been hurt the last 2 seasons. He'll play all 16 and prove all of you wrong.

I hope he does too:)

I'd rather have Drayton Florence. He can be the #4 CB behind Jenkins and Scandrick and Alan Ball can be #5.

I'd like him for a bargain price, the only position worse than WRs when it comes to guys thinking they deserve big bucks is CB.

I hope you're right. If he's out even one game, expect some flak. ;)

I agree. Far too much attention is paid to the position from people. We have three very good ones with Newman, Scandrick and Jenkins and acceptable depth with Henry and Ball.

There is no reason to go spending for a veteran or even drafting one very high.

Another shot at a later round guy like Scandrick was would be the only way I see us bringing in another CB.

I'm fine with drafting more guys behind what we already have, no interest in signing another old player at a skills position.

In Addition to your ?
What are people's obsession with signing 30+ year old players to replace a younger player, or any player that will be counted against the cap. That still can be productive.

If we go out and sign all these cut players that some on this forum seem to want us to...then we are going down the same route as the Commanders...and you see where that got them.

If you are assuming that both of our starting corners are going to get hurt, then yea.

We've got 4 corners, all of them are capable of starting. CB should be our last concern until someone gets hurt.
