Well, as the site's resident furry who dressed up as a horse, it's only right that I start this thread. But yes, welcome to Kentucky Derby weekend.
Did you attend? I would have wagered some money on you!![]()
If you watched the prep races you'd see the crop was not great. Further Ado ran the best prep race in the Blue Grass but the rest of them were meh. I knew it would be a long shot. I did not think that long shot was Golden Tempo.
I thought that was interesting reading how all but one of the horses in the race can trace lineage back to Secretariat.
That is amazing
I knew Secretariat had tremendous influence in bloodlines but I never knew it was this big. Secretariat only fathered one outstanding horse, Risen Star who won both the preakness and Belmont. But his influence spread farther and farther as the generations go by.I thought that was interesting reading how all but one of the horses in the race can trace lineage back to Secretariat.

Is Ford still in Louisville ?
I thought they were in Detroit?
They had a huge factory presence in Louisville . It’s like GM has a huge facility in Arlington Texas
Yes. A lot of giant warehouse operations in Louisville. It's a good central hub like Chicago, Ohio and the other surrounding states. I like Louisville and it's not just for the bourbon. It's a big city that feels like a small town. Still has that laid back Deep South atmosphere, but culturally is more similar to Chicago, St.Louis, and some of those early midwest cities. Is Ford still in Louisville ?
