Talent wise, A&M is behind only OU and tu in the Big XII. The recruiting attributes to this fact. It's a matter of getting said talent to play to their potential.

And, not that I would expect you to know this, but Darnell had the best defense in CF while at TCU. Guess what scheme he ran?
TCU? Hell, Fran looked like a good coach at TCU.

btw: I know all I need to know about Darnell.

Ya know what, as an Ag, I disagree. I think it's the recruiting not the coaching.

Do I think Franchione is overrated? Yup. But you don't need to be a genius to win in college football. Barry Switzer, Lou Holtz, the list can go on of "brilliant minds" who created college dynasties. College football is all about the recruiting and winning the popular opinion polls, and nothing else.

When is the last time you saw A&M have a bunch of first and second rounders in the NFL draft like the Florida schools, Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State and other big prgrams seem to have on a regular basis? How many Aggies are solid starters in the NFL? Especially from the last few years?

For whatever reason, recruiting has gone downhill. We have Reggie McNeal, Texas has Vince Young. We have Jamar Toombs, Texas has Ricky Williams. We have Robert Ferguson, Texas has Roy Williams. Someone needs to bring back that "best little whorehouse in Texas" to pull the athletes in cause whatever we're showing 'em now isn't working.

I really find it a riot that an aggie, whose program is in the toilet, gets off on trashing Vince Young, his throwing motion, and his intelligence.

Is that all you have that brings you joy? I actually feel sorry for you that you have a sig that declares the aggies as Big XII champs in 2006. You will lose at least 4 games next year and your overall schedule is actually an embarassment to college football.

Colt McCoy looks like a 12 year old...so who gives a flying ****. He has already show in practice and in scrimmages that he is a better passer than McGee.

Just wait until Mack brings in his recruits next year including Brantley and Chiles. Two more QBs with MONSTER talent. You all will still be riding McGee's jock because he has "moxy" and that "can do ag spirit". He will win just enough games to keep Fran's job, keeping A&M in the toilet.

As far as I can tell, you guys should not be mocking Young's intelligence.

I guess my sarcasm mocking Radio's record low score of six on the Wonderlic was far to subtle for your simple mind

Naw, MY sarcasm was what went over your head-- you go tryin' to call Vince stupid because of his Wonderlic scores, and you're too freakin' stupid your own self to spell "wonderlic" properly...

If you're gonna pretend that you're intellectually superior to somebody (which would be a huge reach for you, no matter who the opponent), then you really need to be careful to make sure you at least spell the words in that post correctly...

But I'm not surprised you couldn't follow my train of thought, after all, it seems you got your edumacashun at Texas A&M... :D

And BTW, I have taken and aced a test very comparable to the Wonderlich, the 5th grade TAAS Test

SURE you have... :D

You've just been carefully keeping all that intelligence hidden from us in your posts to this board, right??

There's some speculation that Volek could be cut.
I heard they were looking to trade Volek. I think they could certainly get at least a 3rd for him. He's a much better option than AJ Feeley who garnered a 2nd rounder not long ago.

If Jeff George is getting dusted off, then I'm sure Volek would be a desirable commodity somewhere.

I think the idea is that the Titans like Young and want him starting before the year is done, and if so, then they might as well get something for Volek while they can. Kerry can mind the shop as Young gets a few more weeks of work.

You got me. Third leading passer. Wow, you should be so proud. Now go dig up all your idiot posts about Weggie being an NFL qb.

I believe Young was leading the nation in passer rating going into the bowl games. The statistics in bowl games used to not count for a player season or career, but now they do. Young had a good passing game in the Rose Bowl, but his season total actually went down. Brohm didn't play in his bowl game and Carpenter had a monster bowl game to raise his season rating.

I dont know what it is, but there doesn't seem to be any grey area on guys like Vince Young and Quincy Carter.

You either hate these guys or you like them.

Weird...

I am a little grey. I like Vince Young. I don't think he will light it up any time soon. He has to get better to play in the NFL. He may not, but I think he has a chance.

I was about to agree with you Mike, but on second thought I'm not so sure.

It seems like Henson had that same kind of love him or hate him thing going also.

One thing about Henson, is that he never had his intelligence questioned like a Young or Carter.

I never heard anyone question whether he could read a defense. Although all young qb's have problems reading defenses.

Yeah, your comment about nobody questioning Henson's ability to read defenses and his intelligence is true.

But alot of people that didnt like him called him a loser, a thief and a failed baseball player, which is almost as bad too.

The venom that spews forth from a true hater is crazy. Some of the things said are unbelievable no matter if is directed at Quincy, Henson or whomever. There is always a small group that just pure hates that particular player. The same is true for those that just love a player. They treat them as if they are the best NFL player ever. You would think Bledsoe has never thrown an interception if you read some of those posts. :)
