Surtain is a much better player than when King was a draft prospect. King was a #2 CB in college and was looked at as raw but toolsy prospect. Surtain comes into the NFL as a starting caliber CB

Totally agree. My point is guys like Dane Bugler, Jeff Cavanaugh and Tom Downey always talk about Surtain’s speed. They feel he can’t cover speed receivers or good route runners. King is a big cover cornerback and I bet Jeff is gonna bring it up that Brady went over the top on him.

Sadly, he would be an upgrade for the Cowboys. He was out for 5 games with a quad injury and was questionable today with a back injury.
