Kevin Ogletree "Slight" lead

I'm not concerned with the name of the player that wins it, just hope that the best player wins it regardless of who it is....I'm not an OTree fan per se but if he wins the job then more power to him

Which means nothing they only report the good stuff Beasley does and never when he bust a route etc.

They are tweeting on what sales not what really happens. In fact the best reports I ever seen have been from fans that wrote what they saw for the entire day and tracked every play.

The media guys for Dallas ESPN etc are complete and utter clowns and would not know football if it hit them in the face

Im glad they have stiff competition for that last spot. The closer the race is the more options they should have as the season progresses. The bottom line is Austin and Dez need to stay healthy or some one will need to step it up big time.

I have a feeling Ogletree is going to step up. Lets not forget he should benefit from a full off season this year as well. I think he and Dez were playing catchup last season and will be more prepared this season.

I don't understand not pulling for OT to make good. It's hard for a rookie WR drafted or not to make big the first year. We need OT to step up.

Here is the article:

Anyone else tired of hearing this? Other than his great experience I don't understand how he has any lead. Barely hear about him at practices compared to Beasely, Holmes, and Benford....

Yeah, and this is why I still feel a vet will be brought in. Furthermore, I don't think K.O.'s spot on the team is safe since he doesn't play ST. It's time for him to set himself apart in a good way, or risk finding employment elsewhere. Now if they bring in a vet and keep KO, that'll make me incredibly disappointed in all this great young talent that's supposedly in camp.

Stiff competition.

Four fat guys weighing over three fifty each running 100 yard wind sprints could be stiff competition.

If the sum total of the product is a bunch of back ups and small guys, then stiff competition doesn't begin to address what the team needs.

Ogletree should never have been given a raise this off-season. He is the epitome of the entitlement attitude on this team.

Slacker is the reason.

That was true, however with his brothers murder he mentioned that his perspective on football changed. I'm hoping that he steps it up this year. I'll be rooting for him to do well this season.

That kind of is the hope of all of us. Otree has looked good in previous camps because he knows the defenders, and can sort of adjust. Let's see how he does in the pre-season games. Frankly, I don't get players not knowing the playbook. This isn't rocket science.

So it takes a death in the family to get his motor running?

Sorry for his loss, but that is crapola.

If you don't want it so bad you dream about it night after night then you need to go play for another team.

I suspect there aren't five guys on this entire board, and that includes the ladies too, that wouldn't trade places with that guy and give 100% every day and see if they could stay after to get better like Irvin just to wear that star.

I don't like this player and have never seen anything but a hand full of WR screens and then the parade celebration for him as if he did squat.

Fact is, if I recall he had some real blocking on one and couldn't get into the end zone.

And this is one of the things I see that frustrates me about the way this team is run. Be it Garrett, Stephen or Jerry, this guy should have been toast.

Slacker until he shows he's got a little somethin somethin.

I won't hold my breath.

:laugh2:that Ogltree is still a part of this team...thanks Jerry, another pet project gone terribly wrong, what a joke this franchise has become.

How do you know what is attitude is? Have you been there all off season watching them get ready for TC? Maybe he is just a guy that needed a little more time to develop his game.

Having been to camp for a few days I can tell you that what you're reading lines up pretty well with what I saw. Beasley isn't being overhyped. He stands out. Will he once games start? We'll start seeing tomorrow.

I haven't read the DMN reports much but Vela at cowboyszone has I think a pretty summary of camp and WR's in particular in his stories.

Ogletree is the current safest bet. Everyone else is potential. Of all our WR's only Dez & Coale are draft picks. All the rest are UDFA's

When the lights come on, someone will step up. Romo can hit anyone with a pass as long as he has time. I'm more concerned (see: extremely concerned) about the Center position.

In your life you have known many people. Good people, Saintly people like perhaps your mother or grandmother, hard working people, selfish people, giving people. You get the point.

I have no idea how old you are, but think about this.

How many people have you known who were complacent, entitled, slackers that didn't do their work ever turn it around?

I'm sure you've known one or two. But people rarely change. They may seem different, but personality traits tend to be true then, now, tomorrow.

So what do we know about this player?

He had a modicum of success on some simple WR screens, and then nothing.

His WR coach made comments about him and his lack of hustle and not knowing where to be on plays.

So two years, less than three hundred yards and he is not distancing himself from the competition.

So have I been there?

Nope.

Has this guy changed his spots?

Vegas says no.
