this should keep you busy;
Big School Sleeper-WR Kevin Ogletree A 6’0 1/2“ 196 pound redshirt junior had one of the most impressive combines of any wide receiver-40 Yard Dash: 4.48, Vertical Jump: 36, Broad Jump: 10'02", Short Shuttle: 4.08, 3-Cone Drill: 6.67 As impressive as those numbers are they his production; 58 catches, 723 yards, a 12.5 yard average, 5 TDs, with a long catch and run of 51 yards, was not terribly impressive but UVA lost its top 2 QBs and Ogletree was clearly the best receiver on the team. Ogletree had 52 catches for 582 yards in 2006 and is seventh in Cavaliers history with 117 receptions, he missed 2007 with a fractured leg, he is a smooth vertical threat with the ability to go up and pluck the ball out of the air, he has some flaws he’ll need to learn beat press coverage and some of the little things like taking out the strong safety on a downfield play and make sharper cuts.
24. Kevin Ogletree, Virginia
He is a candidate to play the slot because of his elusiveness. He got some attention with a 4.38 40-yard dash at the combine, but he doesn't play quite that fast. Could use some muscle.

CARROLLTON - Undrafted free agent WR Kevin Ogletree (Virginia) is working with the first team in three-receiver sets ahead of seventh-round pick Manuel Johnson (Oklahoma).
Of course, Ogletree is benefiting from the injuries that have sidelined Sam Hurd and Miles Austin, but it also needs to be said that he's making the most of the opportunity. He's shown good hands, making several catches during 7-on-7 drills and another during team drills.
Johnson, though, has had his moments. In fact, he just made a nice sideline grab on a pass from backup Jon Kitna.
One Cowboys observer noted that rookie free-agent WR Kevin Ogletree made a strong first impression, but Ogletree still is considered a long shot to make the team.

02/11/09 - PRO POTENTIAL: WR Kevin Ogletree was the only Cavalier to leave school early. He has already graduated from Virginia, but had one year of eligibility remaining because he missed 2007 with a torn ACL. Ogletree rebounded nicely from his injury and has made himself into a possible mid-round selection. He led the Cavaliers in receiving in his two healthy seasons and he finished with 110 career receptions.
01/07/09 - University of Virginia wide receiver Kevin Ogletree announced he will forego his final year of collegiate eligibility and enter the NFL Draft this April. Ogletree led the team in receiving this past season with 58 catches for 723 yards and five touchdowns, the second 50-catch season of his career. He finished fifth in the ACC in receptions (4.8/g), and third in receiving yards (60.2/g) and touchdowns (5) and was an honorable mention All-ACC selection. His 58 receptions are tied for fifth in a season in Virginia history, while his 723 yards are 12th. He returned in 2008 after missing the 2007 season because of a knee injury. After catching seven passes in seven games as a true freshman in 2005, he had a breakout sophomore campaign in 2006. He was the team’s leading receiver with 52 receptions for 582 yards and four scores. One of only 26 players in ACC history with two-50 catch seasons in a career, Ogletree is ranked seventh in school history with 117 career receptions and 13th with 1332 receiving yards. “Kevin has been a significant part of our team,” said head coach Al Groh. “He was a strong performer and an excellent teammate. Kevin received his degree in December and feels this is the appropriate time for him to move on; we agree and support him in his decision and wish him much success.” Ogletree received his degree in sociology last month, a semester early. - Virginia football
12/02/08 - 2008 ALL-ACC CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION (MEDIA): Kevin Ogletree, wr, Virginia (32), has been selected All-ACC Conference Honorable Mention for the 2008 college football season by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. Ogletree returned this season after missing all of last year and led the team in receiving once again with 58 catches for 723 yards and five touchdowns. He finished fifth in the ACC in receptions (4.8/g) and third in receiving yards (60.2/g). With 58 receptions this season, he became only the 26th player in ACC history with two 50-catch seasons in a career. - Virginia football
11/19/08 - When Virginia’s 24 fourth- and fifth-year players align with family members in the end zone prior to Saturday’s Senior Day showdown with Clemson, wide receiver Kevin Ogletree will be there. That action should not alarm Cavalier fans. Ogletree, Virginia’s top pass-catching option with 50 receptions for 640 yards, boasts another year of eligibility stemming from his medical redshirt in 2007. “I will be doing the ceremony just so I can be out there with my guys I came in with,” Ogletree said Tuesday. “I’m not doing it because I think it will be my last game.” The possibility does remain, however, that the contest will mark the final home game for the wideout from Queens, N.Y. Following the season, Ogletree said he will use every measure available to analyze what his stock would be for the 2009 NFL Draft. “You would be an idiot not to take a look,” Ogletree said. “That will be a circumstance where a lot of things would have to turn up.” Ogletree, the ACC’s second-leading receiver, has seen firsthand examples of players properly prepared to leave early and those who needed further seasoning. Last season, left guard Branden Albert declared early for the draft and selected 15th overall and inked a five-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. From the opposite end of the spectrum, former Virginia linebacker Kai Parham elected to forgo his final year of eligibility and went undrafted in 2006. “You don’t want to be in that situation,” Ogletree said. “At least I have some time.” - Jay Jenkins, Charlottesville Daily Progress
11/10/08 - GAME BALL GOES TO: WR Kevin Ogletree has scored a touchdown in five of the past six games. His 5-yard scoring reception on Saturday vs. Wake Forest pulled the Cavaliers within 28-17 with 8:57 remaining.

Virginia wide receiver Kevin Ogletree confirmed Wednesday that he will forego his final season of eligibility and enter the NFL draft.
Ogletree, who redshirted in 2007 after suffering a knee injury, submitted paperwork for the NFL to learn where he stacked up in the draft.
“I did all of that and I got some good feedback,” Ogletree said.
In 2008, Ogletree hauled in 58 catches for 723 yards and a touchdown, averaging 60.2 yards per game and 12.5 yards per catch. The 6-foot-2, 189 pound rising senior had 582 yards on 52 catches as a sophomore and saw playing time as true freshman, finishing that season with seven catches for 27 yards.
I'm not sure whether M Johnson or Ogletree will make the 53 man squad this year, but I think that they will make a strong case to develop on the PS, regardless. During this mini-camp, both players seemed to catch the ball well. There were reports that M Johnson had trouble shedding Mickens on several plays during the Saturday session, I believe, but I think both these WRs are fairly athletic and have good hands. IMO, we'll only keep 5 WRs this year, so Stanback, T Wilson, M Johnson, and Ogletree will be competing for that one spot.
Ogletree looked real good ... he had a really great combine including an unofficial 4.37 40, think he was best in one of the cone drills too. There's the injury concern for some. I've read conflicting things about him: he's track-speed-fast but he can't get separation/not a deep threat ... He graduated early and sounds like a good citizen, but one report (collegefootballnews.com) said coaches "were not sad to see him go." Just who is this guy?
this is final wrap of ogletree that i could find written about him, again, this should keep you busy and possibly drooling some
keep in mind though, these are rookies, and he is a junior, so probably not as strong as he should be and he had a serious serious knee injury 2 years ago
*Undrafted WR Kevin Ogletree had the most impressive catch of the day, making a leaping grab over Hamlin on a skinny post during one-on-one drills.
Two more rookies who opened eyes at practice were undrafted free-agent wide receiver Kevin Ogletree and linebacker Jason Williams, a third-round draft pick.
Ogletree was one of the best athletes at the NFL Scouting Combine, and in addition to his impressive physical tools, he flashed great ball skills and route-running ability at practice. Williams also made his mark and was outstanding in the bag and pursuit drills.
*Seventh-round CB Mike Mickens, who had to pull out of the Senior Bowl and skip the combine due to a left knee injury, came up limping after undrafted WR Kevin Ogletree beat him on a comeback route late in practice. Mickens waved off athletic trainer Jim Maurer and rejoined his teammate, but I didn't see him take another rep.

Good analysis, we also picked up Kevin Ogletree who was rated higher than Manuel Johnson and who was also at UVA with John Garrett. If he's healthy he will beat out Johnson.
If you count Ogletree we got 8 out of the top 134 players from a list that CBS Sportline published, no other team can say that.
Cavaliers wide receiver Kevin Ogletree, who passed up his final season of college eligibility after recording a team-high 58 receptions, was not selected. Chicago-based agent Joe Flanagan said Sunday night that Ogletree had accepted a free-agent offer from the Cowboys.
Asked for his reaction to Ogletree not being drafted, Flanagan said, "You know what? I don't have any comment now about anything."
It was the second time in five years that a prominent UVa underclassmen had made himself available for the NFL Draft and not been chosen. Linebacker Kai Parham went that route after making first-team All-ACC in 2005 and never played professionally.
Ogletree said in January that he had spoken to an NFL advisory panel and was satisfied with what he was told.
"It was what I wanted to hear," Ogletree said at the time. "Obviously, it was a draftable grade. I'm not getting into specifics, but they didn't say, 'Hey, guy, you'll be drafted in the seventh round.' I would be back in school if they had."
