IMO if we do this, we win:

1) Run the ball more often then not
2) Win the time of possession (by running the ball)
3) No Turnovers

I know we can put up enough points to win, but I am worried that we won't be able to stop the Packers. I believe that our best defense will be keeping the Packers offense off the field. And obviously giving Rodgers any extra possessions because of turnovers will be killer so we need to avoid that like the plague.

What are your keys to victory?

  1. Stop Lacy. If the Cowboys can't stop Lacy I don't think the Cowboys win
  2. Cowboys start fast. I'd like to see the Cowboys score a TD on their first possession
  3. Win the TO battle. The Packers broke the NFL record (16 game season) for least turnovers this season (13). For the Cowboys to get any will be huge.

Play a full 60 minutes, not just the last quarter. They can't start out like last week.

GB would be stupid not to try to implement the Commanders/Lions game plan. Stack the box, shut down the run, blitz often and dare our O-Line and Romo to figure it out. Meanwhile, hope Rodgers and company get out to an early lead, such that when we finally make adjustments its too late.

We can't afford to fall far behind in this game.

Did not work great for the Commanders last time. As for the Lions that is a very big and strong DL, that is not GB. Dallas has to go out and play their game and not be intimidated as so many around here are. GB is a good team, So is Dallas.

Design the routes to beat the blitz. Short routes in the middle of the field including crossing routes will give Romo a place to go with the ball quickly to beat the blitz. The Cowboys didn't use these routes enough in the 1st half of the Lions game. They started using them more in the 2nd half and that was the key difference, IMO.

On defense, the Lions go-to play is the quick slant route, especially on 3rd downs. The Cowboys need to find and answer for that route.
