Keys to winning this game

1) Tackling - Chip Kelly offense is based on underneath throws and poor tackling. 20 wins in less than two years shows Kelly has figured out most of teams in NFL are poor tacklers. Guys like Barry Church are hugely important as they can minimize big plays by Sproles, McCoy. Overall Dallas needs to swarm to ball and not worry about big hits (hear me Hitchens?).

2) Pray like He!! that DeMarcus Lawrence shows you something in this game he hasn't show yet...sacks! We know what rest of defensive line can do at getting to QB and it's not much. The X factor here is that Lawrence could steal show with big performance. Sanchez does not handle pressure well at all.

3) Seal the edge. McCoy has feasted on Dallas largely due to his ability to bounce outside and outrun LBs. This game comes down to Dallas DEs. Its that simple. If they can effectively seal the edge to min. big runs by McCoy and make Sanchez uncomfortable in pocket......Dallas wins this game.

4) Throw early. This has double effect of attacking eagles weakness (their DBs) and it also gives Romo a chance to show mentally & physically that this won't be like T-Day game. Defensive Coordinators in Philadelphia learn very early that nothing wins you approval faster in Philadelphia than attacking and unsure players. This week on philly sports radio callers felt Romo won't even last 4 quarters. You can bet every defensive players shares this thought. Romo will need to check himself in this game and decide to become the guy we all have been hoping for or he will revert to national perception.

5) Offensive line needs to grow up in a hurry. We all read the reports of how this OL took league by storm this year. Loaded with 1st round talent. Bone crushing center with long beard. LT who seems like a 10 year veteran but only 24 years old. Ok we get all the fluff that came with it this year. But then something happend on t-day. They meet a DL who didn't really fear them and showed them what true physicality looks like. You can't tell me a shortened week effected these guys because they are too young for that. This was about intimidation and Eagles took it to them. Cox is a big, nasty man. Period. Leary will have to play the game of his life. He needs to punch back but it needs to be controlled. Stay square and use his upper body strength. Curry is hugely underrated left DE for Eagles. Doug Free will have to be at his best.

The key is the Cowboys passing offense, IMO.

The Eagles will overload against the run and blitz against the pass.

The Cowboys offense only scored 10 points last time. They were not going to win regardless of what the Cowboys did in that game.

1. Pass the ball more effectively than the Eagles do.

/End of list.

The team that has passed the ball more effectively in our games this season is 13-0. We're 9-0 when we pass more effectively than our opponent and 0-4 when we do not.

Control the ball and clock, thus keeping the Eagles O off the field. This means zero turnovers and no costly brain f--ts. Gotta convert on 2nd/3rd and short.

The good news with that is the Eagles can be passed against. They really can't cover over the middle if you get the time to exploit it.
I think they'd love it if went in and overcommitted to the run. It's probably why they're talking so much publicly before each game about our OL and our ability to run the ball against them.

I"m all for doing what we do well, but we do everything well. Romo should be able to feast on these guys.
