Keyshawn Johnson was just on Mike Tirico's show and he was talking about QBs. He mentioned that he hated playing with QBs that got their receivers hurt. He said that Brad Johnson was pretty good at not doing that. He said Bledsoe was a good example of a QB that does do it. He said when he was with Dallas, Bledsoe would throw the ball all over the place and put you in a position to get hurt. He later stated that Romo never does that and always puts the ball where the receiver is not going to get hurt.

Should be noted that before he spoke about Bledsoe, he stated that he wasn't trying to criticize him ;) .

Maybe Keyshawn is seeing the light or maybe he's decided not to take out his resentment on Romo just because the Cowboys cut him back in 06.

To say a QB never does that is ridiculous, but Romo does it less often.

Bledsoe was often more worried about his own statue self than his recievers often leaving them defensless.

Romo does a good job of keeping his boys safer. alot of this goes to our oline being better. (Rivera would get jammed in Bledsoes face every third down)

Bledsoe was a statue and he was more worried about getting rid of the ball than what impact his throw will have on receivers. In many cases, I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional, it's matter of survival.

I'm not a Bledsoe fan, but to say that he did that to save his own skin is hogwash. I'll give the guy credit, he wasn't afraid to take a hit.

The Eagles game comes to mind when reading about this..

We were up by like 21 and Key was lined up as a RB and ran a flat. As soon as he caught it he got nailed and fumbled..The "cowboy-killer" Lito picked it up and ran it for a TD. When they got back to the sideline they had a heated little agreement.

On a side note: Zimmer actually had a really good game plan.

I agree with Key's take on Bledsoe.

Bledsoe was a bad QB.

I don't disagree that Bledsoe was a bad quarterback at all. But it isn't like Romo hasn't thrown passes where the WR got hit immediately, either. That's part of being in the NFL.

Oh, no question. Romo's done that too-- so did Aikman-- so did Roger. Hey it happens.

But I think it happened at a higher percentage with Bledsoe because of his problems with accuracy on short & intermediate throws.

Romo is much, much better than Bledsoe.

Bledsoe might have put his receivers in a bad position, but I suspect this is some bad blood from events such as the 33-10 Philly event.
