availability for the season opener is in serious doubt due to his shoulder injury--according to HC Joe Gibbs. KFFL also reported same report but that report did not cite Gibbs. BTW: Don't believe this at all. Gibbs is famous for claiming a player won't be available, but all of a sudden there he is starting--happened last year. In fact Parcells even commented that Gibbs like to play these games.

Also another report that Shawn Springs may not play in season opener due to an injury. NFI.

Yes they will fine a team or coach if they suspect that is what they are doing. The Cowboys have been fined for it before as have the Bronco's. In both of those instances the following week after being fined the teams put about half of their roster on the report, anyone who received any treatmant was listed.

I'm not wearing Rose colored glasses like you skin fans are. as I said why else would they trade for Duckett? If Portis is healthy and Betts behind him why the Trade? Take off the Glasses and look for your self....

In addition to Portis repeatedly cursing the fact that he was required to participate in a fake football game. Who acts like that unless his presence Week 1 isn't at least in significant doubt?

Anyone who watches a lot of falcons football please feel feel to chime in but I was listening to SIRIUS today and they were talking to a skins beat reporter. He was sayingin their offense its critical for the backs to be good at picking up and blocking the blitz(ofcourse I'd love to see the offense where this is NOT important:laugh1: ) and that Portis was good at it and Betts is quite good at it but Duckett is not and until he does he touches will be negatively affected.

Betts and Duckett will plow forward for some yards sure, they're not terrible by any means. They're decent. However, they aren't homerun hitters like CP. They certainly aren't guys you stack 8 in the box to stop.
CP adds a dimension to the Skins.
Without a fear of a running game and an old QB, everyone is gonna double (or triple) Moss and blitz Brunnel. Who else is going to hurt you? Cooley? Maybe. El/Lloyd....I'd take my chances.
I'm not bashing the skins or anything, but they are going to have a horrible time moving the ball or scaring anyone without CP. Just like we did when we had Troy Hambrick back there.

you don't come back from an injury like that very quickly, esp as a DB.
He could easily miss the first half of the season.
