It seems to me that the rookie Akwasi is more agressive than Ogletree or Felix. Akwasi seems to just catch the ball and head upfield with a pretty good burst. However one concern I do have with the rookie is ball security. Anyway, anyone think that this week is the week that we see a few good returns out of the return unit.

I thought Akwasi was much better than Ogletree, Felix was too tentative last year, he seemed to be jogging towards the 2 man wedge, like he lost confidence when they changed the rules.

I thought Felix stopped doing returns because he was going to become more of a force in the offense...

I agree..it appears they removed him from his kick return duties and they are limiting his touches on offense in an attempt to save him...

for what you ask?

I dont know...

I was most concerned about ball security for AOA in the Washington game since it was his first game and on the road. But I was very pleased with his performance. He's a very big, strong guy for a returner. He's kind of a Josh Cribbs type...hopefully with similar results.

I just don't see any reason AOA is not the KR all the time. It's basically the only thing he's active to do, and he's better at it than Ogletree.

Like already mentioned, I'm hopping on the AOA for KR bandwagon.

He accelerates to full speed quicker than KO or Felix and is much more decisive.

It will be a good challege, the Bears have been strong in special teams over the last few years and I'm not talking just in the return game but in the coverage units as well as blocked kicks

I just want a guy returning the balls who isn't going to be fumble it. He doesn't have to be the best returner on the team. But a 35 yard return instead of a 20 yard return isn't a game changer, a fumble returned for a touchdown is.

AOA should definitely be the full time return man. He's much more aggressive than either Ogletree or Felix.

I don't want a fumble either, but 15 yards per kick is a lot of field position.

Truth. I might be going a little overboard with that comment. But it does seem like AOA is a little fumble prone when returning kicks, he did it once or twice in the preseason and he runs with so much burst and power it just looks like he's fumble prone. But if the coaching staff doesn't see that in him, they've obviously got the better resources than me. If anything I do agree he is the better kick returner.

Yes, hopefully for the Cowboys.

I like AOA but we've been searching for a return man as long as we've been looking for a FS.

I was glad Wade mentioned it the other day so it should not come as a surprise to the Cowboys special team and that is the how the Bears return men have a habit of taking kicks deep in the end zone out. Cowboys can't fall asleep on Hester and Manning even on the deep kicks in the end zone they must assume that they will try to return the ball.

Glad you chimed in with the overboard reply. I was going to say Ill take that extra 15 yards all day long.

I still cannot believe this guy came from IUP. Its about an hour from me and is a small tiny lil college. I mean small.
