Obvious to me that when you're down to the 10, you try and get your TD then.

The funny part of all of this is that we were going to rely on our ST coach to come up with a way to recover an onside kick. He can't figure out punts and kickoffs much less an onside kick.

Yes? We had 8 seconds left. You kick the field goal for 3 points and then try for a hail mary.

I'm not entirely sure why you would think trying for the TD (taking more seconds off the clock) would be the better solution here.

I focus on the coaches doing their jobs. Or in this case, not doing them. Just the wrong call. Another failure of game management at the end of a game.

....you're not factoring in the time. You're not getting a TD, then having enough time to get into FG range. Either way, you would still be going for a hail mary because we would never have enough time to go for a FG.

Garrett did exactly what Aikman and everyone sensible said you gotta do.

You have time for one play after the onsides. You are not in field position for a FG after an onsides kick.
