ghost bar is a very nice place, but $20 to get in is only a small part of the expense. the few times i've been there it's almost like you need a mid 6 figure income to feel at home there.

no. i didn't come close to feeling at home. : )

Ghost Bar is pretentious, sadly most upper income dallasites are too.

I have been there a couple times and I always end up leaving after an hour or so. Just don't like the scene there. VERY hot chicks though as long as you don't listen to them talk.

one of my former "renegade babes" used to work there and man alive did she fit in on the "hot chicks" talk. was supposed to get together with her last week but didn't. need to clean my batchelor pad and invite her back over. : )

but yea, i was there, the entire convo was like some scene out of lifestyles of the rich and pretentious where you go to be seen, not have a good time. if i ever have the $ to do that i hope i go do something else a lot more entertaining.

like mow my yard with childproof scissors.

The ghost bar wasn't "THAT" expensive. I would a lot rather pay a slightly inflated price for a drink and know that I'm not going to see a dozen fights through out the night than drink free beer and put up with all that comes along with it. Some things in life are worth the extra expense.

wow. one extreme or the other. there's a lot of clubs in dallas and in all the years i've been going out, to see bands, to drink $1 beer, any coin any drink nights (of which they don't follow through on) and so forth, i can only recall a couple of events that even got close to a fight.

there is an atmosphere there people probably want that comes with the price to play, but $20 just to walk into a bar to pay $8 a shot or so? if it makes you happy, great. but it's still a place to go to be seen.

well the one time i was there it was incredible. it was my 41st birthday and i went there to hang out with jennifer who was working. no one else, just to chill out. it was like an art-deco 70s monochrome fetish but the view of downtown dallas was incredible. it was also a thunderstorm to break a long dry spell, so it was just fantastic to watch the weather over downtown dallas from 33 floors up.

other than that i found no real reason to go back.

I see more hot chicks at the shoe department of Macy's at Northpark Mall. Ghost bar is over-rated. :)
