Why did we keep two kickers if the "long distance" kicker doesn't bang it out the back of the endzone???

Buehler's kicks have a lot more hangtime. That's why the Jets had such lousy field position. If they wanted Buehler to kick it out of the endzone then he would have kicked it out of the endzone.

There were 3 kickoff returns for Tds last week.

I personally would kick it out of the endzone everytime and never give them a chance.

I'll take my chances of making a team drive 80 yards to score, over the small chance of pinning the team back short b/c their kick returner tip toes the ball out like Demarco Murray did, but also having a chance of giving up a big play.
I have long thought ST plays swing the momentum of a game quicker then anything else. Had they not blocked the punt, I don't think we lose that game. A big return can do the same thing. I say just kick it deep and forget it.

I think I'll take a 0% chance of a run back with the way our ST has been known to let down at times, any day!

I tend to agree. See our upcoming opponent's Special Teams stats from last week...Ted Ginn...one ko return for td and one punt retrun for a td.

oh special teams coach better be burning the midnight oil for sundays game.

We have two of the best weapons against returners in the NFL. Ginn will be a non factor.

With the wind at his back he did, into the wind he did not. Most of the time our long distance kicker can put it out of the back of the end zone. Sleep well tonight. :)
