Was the right move.
JKidd was huge for Dallas Mavs lifers but he was also constantly angling for himself.

Good time to make the clean break and let an actual basketball guy build out the team.

Sean Sweeney in San Antonio is probably the guy.
Same X's and O's s Kidd with less politicking.

As for Sean Sweeney, that's what I read also. We will see though. Still a lot of fish out there, but the more I read about Masai Ujiri. The more I like the guy.

Though in the end, me liking the guy guarantees nothing except that sometimes I can definitely see brewing failure in people that get hired like Nico and Kidd.

Open minds are far better than ego-driven closed minds ala Nico and Kidd.
