Your defense presnap is so lame........everyone just standing in there zone area five to ten yards off the ball presnap and so predictable.
Would it hurt to play a little press man and get the safties involved in the passing game a little more? How about sending a couple of blitzes with Bruce Carter too. So lame and boring, guess I will just have to wait till your let go in the offseason. Pretty sad hire by JJ

it would work if we could get pressure but sadly our defensive problems stem from the lack of pass rush and overall trench control.

I'm still waiting on my answer to this question.

There is certainly some of that. The pass rush needs to pick it up.

But many of the completions made by Rivers and Manning were released very quickly... So quickly that pass rush wasn't going to me much of a factor. Guys have to cover better, especially against backs and tight-ends.

Boy the worm has turned on Kiffin - the nauseating praise after the Giants game for "teaching turnovers" faded quick, and none too soon...

Saying the pass defense is disastrous is understating the matter. I do think man to man is better with our personnel - or is it, considering Claiborne's burn up on re-entry of late? It seems like we are going to have to take a risk - blitzing Carter as mentioned - to generate a pass rush. Then again, just playing inferior teams may be the fix we need... coming right up.

Maybe but it's the job of a good coordinator to adjust what's going on on defense to what his personell are and aren't able to do. Doing the same old thing no matter what isn't good football and is even worse coaching.

I'm all for man-to-man coverage, press coverage, having safeties play closer, etc. But it is a high-risk high-reward proposition.

The same Cowboys fans who would be delighted by more plays made by the defense playing press coverage, man-to-man, etc., would probably be howling as soon as some opposing QB torches the Cowboys for 70-yard touchdowns because there wasn't enough coverage back deep on the play.

That's where man-under, 2 deep offers the best of both worlds.

They get torched now on deep coverage zones so its worth a shot

Exactly, those turnovers had nothing to do with the defense. All those turnovers were purely because Eli is god awful.

David Wilson fumbled twice. That had nothing to do with Eli Manning.

Played tons of man vs broncos...

Problem is, when they did, the corners didn't bump the receivers. They need to tell/teach the corners to bump the receivers at the line so that the receivers don't get a free release. It's stupid to play man without disrupting the receivers' route at the line.

Kiffin hasn't given the direction for the players so that they can tell wheather they are coming or going. I thought it was a bad hire when it happened and Kiffin has done nothing to prove me wrong.

I was never for firing Ryan. That was a smoke and mirrors move to deflect the blame away from where it actually belonged. But now that the Broncos have rolled through town, I think our defense gets back on track vs. the foreskins.

This defense is predicated on it's ability to get after the QB, and to do it generally with 4 players. We haven't be able to do that in the last couple games. Combine that with poor coverage and we get eaten alive.

I was all for going to the 4-3, but I was hoping for a coach that ran a modern version of the defense. Ryan didn't impress me at all and the players seemed confused with his scheme.

Ryan impressed me a lot, mostly because of what he did in spite of the cards he was dealt. There is a reason why New Orleans took him. Their organization actually knows what they're doing. I think Kiffin is a decent coach, but I don't think he's better than Rob Ryan.

What's the common theme here, coaches have changed, scheme has changed but the players still are not making plays, Cowboys defensive players are turning into coach killers.....looks good on paper but not on Sunday.

The roster looked good in June and July, Ratliff, Spencer, Ware, Bass, and others, now Kiffen is doing the same thing Rob Ryan (who sucks) was trying to do.....coach a bunch of nobody off the street players, Selvie, Hayden, Jerome Long, Wilbur, Ernie Simms Edgar Jones, Ceasar Rayford all decent players but surely not the DL this team was expecting... Coaches coach the players they got.....ask the guy buying the groceries what the deal is with the defense.......same problem for 2yrs now......it's the talent level and business decisions of the players.....ala Ratliff
