Seems like the last five years every time Tony killed the play it would be to a base running play. Tonight on at least three occasions he would kill it, then complete a pass. I was loving it.

I think all it means is kill the original and go to the alternate which could be either run or pass. Who knows maybe there is some dummy signal in there sometimes too.

True, but for a while there, they would run EVERY TIME after the "kill, kill, kill" signal. It was pretty obvious to the defense. I'm glad they're mixing it up now,.

He "killed" multiple plays tonight that ended up runs too. Some people should realize that he may go in with two passes and kill from one to another depending on his blitz reads. It's not always just a run/pass option.

I thought the same thing. I remember kill kill kill to be a run play everytime.

Last year, that pass to Holly in the SF game was a kill kill. That was the first time i saw the kill kill turned into a pass.

He is one of the very best with pre-snap reads...and capitalizing on the situation.
This is the part of his game that has advanced the most.

Didn't I read somewhere this off-season that Garrett was giving Romo more freedom and flexibility to make the calls?

Could that have been a difference maker last night? I guess the only ones that will know the answer to the first question are Garrett and Romo...

Geez - how much better could Romo be if he is being given the same freedom Payton Manning is being given?

This has happened plenty in the past if people would really pay attention and not focus on what they want to.
