Killed by foolish penalties

No team is ever penalty free, but penalties must be kept to a minimum. This team did not do that. It kept shooting itself in the foot. The one that really bugged me was the illegal hands to the face, which negated the Lions' pass interference call that would have had us down inside the 5 from where we probably would have gotten a TD. The offense was actually doing a good job clawing our way back into the game. That penalty broke our back.

ferg, pickens, thomas and steele blew all the momentum the offense had going.

We had 3 separate drives with a penalty that put us at more than 20 yards + for a first down...those are back breakers. Having to overcome that in a regular basis puts your offense behind the eight ball repeatedly.

We're #2 highest in team penalties and 30th in takeaways.......these indicators must be rectified in 2026.
