I think that will be the plan right now. I expect most, if not all, of these top TEs to be gone before 58 so they may not want to risk it. If they can trade back into the Top-45 instead then that would be ideal but it just depends on finding a taker.

this thinking is a big problem for me.how much difference is there betweeen a guy like Kraft and Laporta? there is abslutely no reason to get fixated in one position especially in the 1st Rd or you end up with some like Taco.

IMO… Laporta looks more athletic and natural than Mayer. Kincaid looks the most natural pass catcher but not as good a blocker.
Laporta looks more the part of what we’d probably want I’m guessing.
I can’t even seriously consider Musgrave in rd 1.

I hear ya. The one positive was that last year they drafted Tyler because all their first round rated guys were gone. It’s possible tonight a guy they rate first round is still there and they take them instead of LaPorta.
