It would be nice not seeing the 'most accurate kicker in nfl history' stat come up everytime he goes up for a kick. I don't even believe in jinxes but that's a huge jinx

Probably.

Kickers can be streaky. So much history out there of good kickers who all of sudden went bad and even some history of bad kickers who became good.

Yep. Vanderjagt was on his way to becoming one of the best kickers in history and then he missed about 15 yards to the right in that playoff game against the Steelers and he was forever damaged goods. We picked him up that next season, too. Nick Foles started off great for us and then fell way off. Then went to the Jets and seemed to get his groove back. You never know with those guys. It's not a normal NFL position. It's almost all mental. There is no in between on their kicks. Either you make it or you don't.

I want to say Bailey got injured trying to make a tackle on a kickoff in the Bears game. Even in that game, he looked off, even on extra points. His misses in the playoffs were terrible.

After seeing him miss it against the Packers and then moved 5 yards back, I would almost just punt at that point.

I worry about kickers. Mike Vanderjagt went from being the best kicker in the game to unemployed in a matter of months. When they get the yips, its over.

Not too worried about Bailey though, hes a guy that works really hard and has ice in his veins. I remember training camp back in San Antonio, he couldn't even kick a 45 yard field goal. Now he routinely blasts 45-55 yarders in clutch moments like its nothing.

Can't believe this is a topic. In one game Bailey went from the world's greatest kicker to another scrub. There is nothing wrong with Bailey.

He got hit in the kicking leg in one of the December games and was never the same. I wonder if he hurt his hip or something and the Cowboys didn't report it.

I think he was a little bit nicked up as well. Nothing major to keep him out, but enough to affect his game and cause him to struggle. I think he'll bounce back.

Nobody is saying he is a scrub, just his kicks were a little off sometimes.

that would be incredibly stupid since the league would come down on them like the proverbial ton of bricks. No way.

Something happened to him after that. Maybe it was mental, but I do remember making a note of it and he did struggle some from that point on.

It was actually two playoff games, not just one............he missed a kick against Detroit as well.

He also missed a game winner against Houston earlier in the season.

I am starting to think he cant handle the pressure kicks (game winners or playoff game kicks)....................just saying.
