If the draft took place today this is exactly how the first round would unfold.

1. Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward QB Miami
2. Cleveland Browns - Travis Hunter WR/CB Colorado
3. New York Giants - Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado
4. New England Patriots - Abdul Carter OLB Penn St.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Mason Graham DT Michigan
6. Las Vegas Raiders - Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona
7. New York Jets - Mykel Williams OLB Georgia
8. Carolina Panthers - Jalon Walker LB Georgia
9. New Orleans Saints - Will Johnson CB Michigan
10. Chicago Bears - Will Campbell T/G LSU
11. San Francisco 49ers - Kelvin Banks Jr. T Texas

12. Dallas Cowboys - Luther Burden III WR Missouri
Yes, it's a mock draft without Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty going to Dallas! I think it's possible the Cowboys take Jeanty, and there's no arguing that they need a boost to the run game. But I imagine they'd first try to fix that hole in free agency. And regardless, this team has to find playmakers all over, period.

Putting Burden's valuable after-the-catch ability opposite CeeDee Lamb would open things up for Dak Prescott. Dallas has been looking for a reliable one-two receiver punch in the offense for a while; it hasn't had two WRs over 700 receiving yards since 2021, when Amari Cooper was still in town. Burden has the explosive traits to change that.

13. Miami Dolphins - Malaki Starks S Georgia
14. Indianapolis Colts - Tyler Warren TE Penn St.
15. Atlanta Falcons - Shemar Stewart DE Texas A&M
16. Arizona Cardinals - Tyler Booker G Alabama
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Jihaad Campbell LB Alabama
18. Seattle Seahawks - Armand Membou T/G Missouri
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Nick Emmanwori S South Carolina
20. Denver Broncos - Ashton Jeanty RB Boise St.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers - Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio St.
22. Los Angeles Chargers - Colston Loveland TE Michigan
23. Green Bay Packers - Mike Green OLB Marshall
24. Minnesota Vikings - Benjamin Morrison CB Notre Dame
25. Houston Texans - Josh Simmons T Ohio St.
26. Los Angeles Rams - Josh Conerly Jr. T Oregon
27. Baltimore Ravens - Shavon Revel Jr. CB East Carolina
28. Detroit Lions - James Pearce OLB Tennessee
29. Washington (Red)skins - Nic Scourton DE Texas A&M
30. Buffalo Bills - Maxwell Hairston CB Kentucky
31. Kansas City Chiefs - Walter Nolen DT Mississippi
32. Philadelphia Eagles - Kenneth Grant DT Michigan

I do not understand the need to have a 1st round WR. You have your #1 in CD Lamb. You have a #3 draft pick Jalen, #4 draft pick Mingo, Brooks, Turpin, etc already.
So you draft CD replacement now? I mean that is what you are doing if you draft a WR in the 1st because Jerry has proven he isn't paying two #1's (and really he can't with the salary cap).

Then he neglects the RB, DT, Mike and wonders why there is an overall team issue.

Yes another playmaker would be nice, but the #2 WR only has to beat zone or single coverage 90% of the time. A better running game would make the WR group much better to begin with.
Same problem we had with the OL. They saw a problem and instead of getting better coaching and pickers, they wasted tons of capital/draft capital on it and got it excellent, only to watch it take tons of salary cap and still not get them any farther than they already were.

Kupp would be great, but he is going to want #1 pay, I doubt Dallas does that.

The Browns arent passing on a QB at 2. Not happening. Stop with that Mel.
Kiper only ever gets the obvious ones right. I really doubt Jeanty falls that far; someone will trade up for him at the least.

This is a very poor Tackle class and I do not see that many going that fast; maybe if we have a number of dumb GMs but otherwise no. Those tackles being taken will go at least ten to fifteen slots lower then mr hair gell shows

unfortunately our words fall on deaf ears. Jerry's thoughts line up with the majority

Jeanty is the safer pick because of character and ability . Letting Denver get him sets them up to being a contender. Burden has more risk, but who knows, he may become a Randy Moss and they could draft a runner at 44 one of Hampton, Johnson, or Henderson.

I don't believe Kupp is looking for #1 pay, He will be looking for a championship contender and he will be taking #2 wr money.

He is very injury prone, age is catching up so he will definitely be looking for a championship roster to help..... Imagine if he goes to Washington.... Him and Scary terry would be a terrifying cover with daniels at helm.

We need a better No. 2 receiver than what we had this year, but I agree on not using a first-round pick on the position. I'd prefer that we bring in a veteran opposite Lamb. I'd use the first on Jeanty if the draft fell like that and I'd take a DT in the second round, and possibly another one in the third.

The receiver I think we might could get in FA is Stefon Diggs. He and his brother have expressed interest in the past in playing with each other and he's coming off an injury that could keep his price down some. Based on what the Cowboys offer, I'd try to give him an incentive-laden deal with about $6 million guaranteed over two seasons (the rest would be incentives like $2 million for 1,000 yards, $2 million for 85-plus catches ...). Don't know if Diggs would go for it but we're not going to get him for our usual 1-year, $3 million offer.
