You know what's worse? They still think they excel at drafting.

Mims has even fewer college starts than Guyton, as he was limited to just eight over the past three seasons because of injuries and draft picks in front of him on the Bulldogs' depth chart. But when he did play, he made defenders look silly. Mims, 6-7 and 340, allowed zero sacks and just five total pressures across 372 career pass blocks. Will NFL teams be scared off by his limited experience, or will they draft him high based on his size and potential? I lean toward the latter, because he was that good when he got on the field.

To make room for Mims, the Cowboys could part ways with longtime left tackle Tyron Smith, who's a free agent, or have him compete with Terence Steele on the right side. He played right tackle in college but has the talent to play both sides.

Sweat plays a position where you only need 1 prominent player on the roster (then a reserve or a 3T who can hybrid). To take him with the first pick of Dallas’ 2024 draft is acknowledging Mazi is already a bust. Theres no way you can go top 33 NT in back to back years

Mazi is nowhere close to the player that Sweat is and never will be.

Plenty of players aren’t amazing their first year. Imagine running Demarcus Lawrence out of town his first year or 1-15 Troy Aikman. If you’re going to judge a player by 1 season, why bother drafting Sweat?

Nearly all great NT’s took time to develop. Do you draft sweat with the expectation you’ll be replacing him with next year’s first round pick? What kind of strategy is that?

Mazi seems to be a 3 tech now. Sweat is at least 60 pounds bigger.
