I want that pick to be defense badly, but you cant leave a top talent on the board because of position.

Besides, and this won't be popular, and is simply my opinion, but we will need another offensive option for those games when #19 decides he doesnt feel like playing.
As bad as the defense looks on paper, and we all know we need it....there were several games in which the defense did enough, but the offense couldn't do a thing. Having a Jeudy or Lamb on the field in NO, Chi or Phi may have made a difference.

Wow did Winfield Jr. jump all the way up to the mid first?

In that scenario, Lamb is best case.

Yeah one of those guys against a 3rd corner is a mismatch all game long. The league is about passing and scoring points now. If you are going to pay Dak 30 million you might as well give him weapons.

And NE.

They don't have anybody on this team who can do something with nothing or threaten with speed in the passing game. That's a major need.

Unfortunately I agree with just about everything you said. Add this team needs to hit on a high pick. It has been a while.

14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Andrew Thomas T Georgia
15. Denver Broncos - Henry Ruggs III WR Alabama
16. Atlanta Falcons - K'Lavon Chaisson OLB LSU

17. Dallas Cowboys - CeeDee Lamb WR Oklahoma
The Cowboys don't have many glaring needs, although I wouldn't be surprised to see them draft a cornerback or safety (Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix appears to be a one-year flier). I'm going to stick to my board, though, and go with the best prospect available. Lamb, No. 12 in my latest rankings, shouldn't fall far; with fantastic route-running ability and big-play potential, he's capable of being a No. 1 receiver at the next level, and he could play outside or in the slot. Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Lamb would instantly become one of the NFL's top wide receiver trios. Keep an eye on defensive end here, though, as Dallas could add young talent to that group.

18. Miami Dolphins (Pittsburgh) - D'Andre Swift RB Georgia
19. Las Vegas Raiders (Chicago) - Tee Higgins WR Clemson
20. Jacksonville Jaguars (L.A. Rams) - Antoine Winfield Jr. CB/S Minnesota
21. Philadelphia Eagles - Justin Jefferson WR LSU
22. Minnesota Vikings (Buffalo) - Denzel Mims WR Baylor
23. New England Patriots - Jordan Love QB Utah St.
24. New Orleans Saints - Kenneth Murray LB Oklahoma
25. Minnesota Vikings - A.J. Epenesa DE Iowa
26. Miami Dolphins (Houston) - Josh Jones T Houston
27. Seattle Seahawks - Yetur Gross-Matos DE Penn St.
28. Baltimore Ravens - Patrick Queen ILB LSU
29. Tennessee Titans - Ezra Cleveland T Boise St.
30. Green Bay Packers - Chase Claypool WR Notre Dame
31. San Francisco 49ers - Noah Igbinoghene CB Auburn
32. Kansas City Chiefs - Cesar Ruiz C/G Michigan

Grade A pick imo.

A playmaker, & game-changer.
For a first round selection, the best player available with upside.

So wait. Amari Cooper, for example, lacks speed or can't make plays with his legs?

Why the hell did we just give him almost $20MM a year then?

Big Mac said he's interested at having the best ball players on the field, this falls in line with that philosophy. I would love it.

Plus, it gives Dallas flexibility with the "2 year out" built into Amari's contract, and Gallup's future as a Cowboy.

He's not a burner. They have no player on the roster who demands a safety over top every play.

Neither does Michael Thomas, Mike Evans, or a bunch of other elite WRs.

I really like Lamb and I would imagine that he would be rated high on the Cowboys draft board. We could have Lamb for 5 years before his contract needs renewal and Cooper’s contract is finished around that time. Talk about creativity have Lamb, Gallup and Cooper running around secondaries.

If that’s the way the board sets up, I am taking Lamb all day long or trade back with the Saints for right to take Love.

So CJ Henderson, Xavier McKinney and Grant Delpit all fall out of the first round? I don’t see that happening, but if it does we should think about moving up in the 2nd.
