The one you've been waiting for. The official rankings list courtesy of M Kiddy, the Notorious M.E.L., the analyst formerly known as, etc.

I took all commentary out to get it on here. If you don't have ESPN Insider just assume the commentary is brilliant.

Which reminds me, looking at the 296th rated player, I don't get the Xavier Woods love. Cowboys fans seem to covet the guy. Looks like a dinosaur box safety to me.

So, if you assume that this ranking is perfect, that means Dallas spent it's official visits mostly on top 100 prospects and focused very little energy on those in the second half of the draft.

Contrast to the Packers, who spent nearly all of their official 30 on lower end prospects and UDFA types.

I love Woods. He's just outside my top 100, mid 3rd rounder.

I think you confusing Woods with someone else. He's 5-11 200 with 14 picks in 3 seasons. Not exactly a dinosaur Roy Williams.

Brugler:

STRENGTHS: Solidly built frame with adequate arm length…play recognition to anticipate in coverage and undercut routes…senses the ball with his back to the line of scrimmage, getting his head turned to make plays in the air…reliable hand-eye coordination and ball skills to finish interceptions – ranks top-five in school history with 14 career interceptions…averaged 23.2 yards per interception return with 325 career return yardage – score three defensive touchdowns (two on interceptions, one on a fumble return)…strong hands on tackle attempts to get his man on the ground…savvy blitzer…stands out on special team coverages, including one career blocked kick…highly intelligent on and off the field – multiple CUSA All-Academic honors…a “student of the game” according to his coaches with his dedication in the film room…senior captain who worked hard to develop his leadership, getting on teammates if needed…mature individual who wants to be great.

Which team was Mel Kiper a GM or a scout for? What player did he scout for his team? Kiper knows as much as us.He never has been a scout or GM. If you look at early Mel Kiper on ESPN he is saying a bunch of babble jargon to confuse everyone like he knows what he is talking about.

The fact that Kiper was never a scout or GM is not exactly something to hold against him.

You can see a bunch of fired former GMs running around in the media and unemployed scouts like Broaddus on the internet who are not any better.

Then we have completely different assessments of Xavier Woods. I don't see a "dinosaur" in the box safety at all.

Risen worships at the altar of Mel. If Mel says it, then it is a stone cold lock.

You are really selling Kiper very short. He has far more knowledge and information than any average fan does.
