Kiper's final grade

Hos is right....Munster fancies himself a GM as well as a "draft guru". He needs to change the oil in his hair and shut the *** up.

Last year we had a bunch of picks and got massacred for it. This year the iggles have a bunch and they're praised for it.

Don't worry about it, folks. If we had swapped drafts with the eagles or giants, it would have been an exact same grade. The Eagles would have gotten an A for our draft and we'd have gotten a B- for theirs.

Comes with the Star. Roll with it.
...and every word is true.

When you keep trading down and don't start picking until the 3rd round and draft purely for special teams you're going to get bashed.

You have to admit that our special teams improved dramatically, though.

These grades mean nothing. Back in 2006 Kiper gave us an A as did Goose. Maybe it was because they loved Parcells but we know it did not turn out to be an A draft. That is why grades mean nothing one day after the draft.

Only Buehler's KO's helped us most of the other players we drafted got hurt and were red shirted. What improved our special teams the most was the hiring of Joe DeCamillis.

I was using it as an example. Read the rest of my post.

I read the rest of your post and you seem to think there's a bias for the Eagles over the Cowboys. Everyone including Cowboy fans bashed our draft in 09. It was the dumbest draft approach I've ever seen by the Cowboys. It prompted Jerry to be aggressive this year and move up for 2 players who can start.

Joe D was the best hire in a few years. Butler did show he can rush the passer but the rest red shirt is accurate

So he thinks trading up for Dez Bryant and Sean Lee were excellent moves. Then he thinks AOA was good value.

Then.... he gives us a B-

Yeah. Makes sense to me too.

The only problem I have ever had with these Draft Grades is that the author's base them on what they think were the team needs. For instance Kiper Mentions LT right away. It completely flies in the face of reality to assume the team agrees with him on the importance of adding another LT.

Then they turn right around and say the exact opposite for another team. Did the Giants really need more DL help? Yet they are not graded down for not addressing his pre-conceived needs.

The other problem is these guys always grade you on who they would have taken. If the teams wanted their opinions they'd try and hire them. You know, the way we did with Gil Brandt, who was one of the originators of Draft analysis.

Grades are too subjective. Especially this soon.
I noticed Jamie Dukes was drawing the same assumptions--that if we did not strongly address LT, then we could add whatever we wanted and still have a gaping hole at a crucial position. He thinks Free has no chance whatsoever of succeeding at LT. Obvioulsy, the Cowboy staff (who sees Free in action all the time) thinks otherwise. I sure hope they are correct.
