For those that are interested and you can't really judge how good the draft would be for another 2-3 years but Kiper gave us a C grade for this draft. The rest of NFC east is:

Commanders: A-
Giants: B+
Eagles: C

Kiper didn't like the value in the Zeke pick, didn't think they did enough at the CB position, and believes the Smith pick is a huge risk that he hopes Smith pulls off. Said he will be rooting for the kid and hopes he comes to full strength.

I think we all know these grades don't mean squat. To say there is no value in the Elliott pick is absurd.
I like this draft all the way with the exception of the Jackson pick.

It's fun to read but I don't value a good or bad grade at this point. Personally, I liked the draft but it won't be graded until a few years of seeing them play.

Grades "don't mean a lot" because we got a bad grade
They would be touted had we got an A

No question.

Anyone that's in the "No RB is worth taking in the first round" camp, they're not going to give the Cowboys a high grade.

And then you mix in the uncertainty of the 2d round pick... Well there you are.

Revisit the thing in 3 years and the grade could be much different.

These grades don't mean anything...true.

But given Kiper's philosophy on 1st round RBs, no one can say Kiper was being unfair.
That's just how he sees it...nothing more or less.

remember when we won the off season and the draft last year with Hardy, Jones, Gregory, and Collins being our big haul and we ended up picking 4th overall. good time good times... screw media grades.

It would be funny to see how accurate these guys are on their draft grades going back 5-10 yrs. funny because their hit rate would probably be pretty low.

Last year Gurley went in the top 10. This year it was Zeke. Next year there will likely be one or more RB's taken in the top 10. If a RB is the BPA, teams aren't going to hesitate to take them high.
