See my other post. I'd keep taking them until the pass rush issues are fixed and there is a decent level of depth there.

You can always rotate pass rushers.

I agree and this year under Wade should tell the tale on some of these guys. . Burnett could have some PR skills if tried in that area. Ayodele led the NCAA in sacks his senior year so i'm hoping they give him a try up the middle or even off the edge sometimes. Cap was a good PR in college so maybe Wade can get somthing out of him? But as you say, untill we know for sure that we have several PR options, i keep drafting pass rushers.

Sure, not early, but mid rounds definitely (3-5).

I don't see Ellis hanging around that much longer and the only other proven pass rusher at this point is Ware. I hope Spencer is a good book end to Ware, but I'm not afraid of overloading at an important position like pass rusher.

With BC and Burnett looking to be primarily inside, there isn't much depth behind Ware or even Ellis/Spencer (although they could both play there if needed). I think the team could use another edge guy especially a weak side edge type.

A DT that could play some 3-4 DE, maybe part time nose and inside pass rusher would be OK as well although that may be covered by Ratliff and Hatcher.
Gotcha. But I think Greg will be here for the length of his contract.

Yeah, I was thinking 1st and 2nd round, middle rounds would be OK.

You guys had me really worried for a second there I thought some crazy man was suggesting drafting another OLB/DE in the first round for the fourth year in a row. Dont get me wrong I agree with 3/4round but I almost had a heart attack and im only 23. WR, CB, RB if JJ doesnt work out please......possibly DT dependeing on Stanley/Rookie.

Oh and QB if Romo bombs - dont expect it.

I'm very interested in seeing where Jake Long goes, if he drops we might be tempted to draft him instead of a WR with the lower 1st, or draft him first with our higher pick if Desean and McFadden are gone.

There will be juniors coming out that are a lot better than Sweed. Sweed is not going to be a great NFL WR. He's a 6-5 200 lb guy that plays like he's 5-9 170.

He may not be a great NFL wideout, but I disagree that he plays small. From what I have seen from him, he uses his size well.

I have not seen him enough to tell whether he is any good running routes and the other nuances that it takes to be a good nfl WR.

You might be right about better juniors, and he definitely needs to add some bulk. But, I can't help but notice a little OU bias though. :D Regardless I am gonna keep an eye on him this year and all the other top receivers for that matter.

How about Douchet in a Cowboys uniform?, I don't know a whole lot about him though.

14. Limas Sweed, WR, Texas (6-4, 217)
TD-maker who plays fast with pads on.

I like him. I really really like him. Just one problem. He reminds me of a milk carton.

People are never really sure if they have milk.
You think you have milk, you might have.
"I know there's a carton in there, I don't know how much is in it."
"Well, what shall we do?"
'Cause you wanna be sure.
There's nothing worse than thinking you have milk and not having it.
You know, you got the bowl setup, the cereal, the spoon,
the napkin, the TV, the newspaper, everything's ready to go.
You lift up the carton and it's too light.
"Oh, no!"
"Too light!"

i can't believe sweed is the #1 WR so far in this bunch. he's good but i watch texas and maybe it's because i don't watch a lot of *other* college ball i'm just ignorant here - but he's not *that* good. i'd never have thought him to be a 1st round pick.

Chad Henne is overrated...

Colt Brennan is as well... doesn't anybody remember how many yards Timmy Chang accumulated in that O? Look how he fared.

I do not know if I can stomach the easy and cheap one liners you might get from his name alone.

By the way, his name is Doucet, not Douchet.

So there's a little less in common with a certain feminine hygiene product.

Too bad it was a typo. It's Doucet.... doesn't mean those one-liners won't be comin.:laugh2:

And his first name is Early. A few extra letters here and there... I'm sure he had a rough childhood with all the nicknames.

I would love to see Limas in a Cowboys uni but he still needs coaching...he has been a slow and steady development at Texas and has teased Texas fans with his Roy Williams potential.

There are several things I want to see out of him this year at Texas...he has the problem of showing up huge in one game and then disappear in the next. He needs to demand the ball more like Roy Williams used to.
