Kirk and Lockett released

Dak is a franchise QB. Washington had a last place schedule for crying out loud. I am not going to crown them after one year. Our beat up team almost swept them last year.

Dak is looking out of gas. Zero mobility and waning arm strength, and he just suffered another lower body injury that is going to sap him further in 2025.

He's a smart and accurate QB, but Rush is too. And physical tools wise, I don't think those guys are that far apart any more.

Totally disagree. You have to have as many weapons as possible. Eagles have two stud wide recievers and that sure did not stop them from running.
Hurts averaged less than 200 yards/game in 2024 and under 21 passes per game. The Eagles have the best O-Line and RB in the league. Sure they have two good WR's, but really didn't use them that much. I'd argue that Lamb and our #2 WR can put up just as good, if not better numbers than the Eagles top 2, if we had the same O-line and RB. I'm not a big Prescott fan, but I think he's a better QB than Hurts.

Free agency is not where Dallas goes to fill voids in the roster. The draft is where it's at!

As a matter of fact, Dallas doesn't have holes in this roster. Tell 'em Jerry and Stephen.
honestly, despite knowing better, i really can’t see anyway we don’t walk away with a veteran receiver in fa given the names available. it’s almost like rb last yr

That’s not how the nfl works. Look at Washington. Teams rebuild in one season and compete. This isn’t 20 years ago where it takes 5 years to build
teams really only do that with cost controlled qbs though

I dont want to sign guys who are past their prime for a big price.
That is what dallas did in the past, like roy williams, and galloway etc.

Like for RB, I think aaron jones, and chubb, would not stay healthy, and not be all that
good when they do play.
It depends on the price, but regardless they would occupy a roster spot.

For RB I like O.Hampton in late 1st or early 2nd. He would be plug and play, cheap, healthy, young.
Him and dowdle would make a good pair.
For QB, try and find a purdy type in 5th round.

He should be. $60 million AAV vs. $51 million AAV. If both of them are only as good as their offensive lines and receivers they are both a waste of money. One is a bigger waste than the other.

I hope you are correct. I suspect they add a vet to the WR room as well. They have young guys and developmental guys already on the roster. They need someone who can be a legit WR2.

Lockett is smart and a gamer. He's not the same player as a few years ago, but he brings all he has every game. He could produce like Cobb did for the Cowboys after being released by GB.

I wouldn't want either guy. Locket is fading fast and on the downside of his career. Kirk is a bust.

I am old enough to remember when people were saying Tolbert and Brooks were the solutions. Tolbert and Brooks! One guy is a 3/4 on his best day. The other guy shouldn’t even be on the roster.

IMO they need a big guy with speed to take the top off the defense and compliment Lamb. He has to be big with a large catch radius to compensate for Dak’s lack of accuracy.
