KISS live in chicago - 7/17

I hate when bands keep playing like this, especially when the lead singer either loses their singing skills or their voice deepens and crackles more.

I just don't get how fans want to see and listen to bands from their younger days when all they are going to do is damage the fond memories they have.

It's one thing for singers from those long ago bands who go off on a solo career and sing new songs even as they grow much older and sound different. It's another though when they tarnish the songs and memories of the band that was, simply for a pay day or a momentary feeling of returning to glory among their aging fan base.

i am a HUGE meatloaf fan. seen him several times both in later prime years and "meh, getting a tad old". his last release was just horribly pathetic. steinman and meatloaf together again but the vocals were such a disservice to the memory that as you say - it hurts the things you love most about those singers.

This makes me sad because I'm a huge Kiss fan going back to when I was 12 years old. I also was displeased with the decision to use Ace Frehley's and Peter Criss's makeup on new band members. I thought they should give the new guys new characters like they did with Vinnie Vincent and Eric Carr.

If they don't have the performing abilities anymore, they could still write music for other bands. It pains me to write that 'cause I love these guys so much.

This is really sad to see. I saw them a few years ago along with Def Leppard and they weren't anywhere near this bad.

That is disgusting. Worse is that they are wearing their makeup that they already gave up in the 80s.

Quit, please just quit.

Besides, I absolutely can't stand Gene Simmons. A disgrace of a human being.

I still remember the first time I heard Kiss on the radio while on the way to work...

Kiss Alive -- one of the first albums I ever got. I first recorded it off a friend's LP with a cassette in a total crude recording w/ a tape recorder next to his stereo. Then I got it for Xmas as an 8-track tape. Then when my 8-track broke, I bought it as an LP. Then, years later, I bought it as a download as wma files, which I converted to MP3.
