Yeah, the 51 certainly fits Brooking. I always liked 51 for an inside LB.

Not sure what number Jon Kitna will wear for the Cowboys, although I don't think he'll be getting his No. 8. Keith Brooking said he plans to wear No. 51.

Brooking has wore No. 56 during his Atlanta tenure, but it's not like he's upset that Bradie James has that number here. Brooking originally wanted No. 51 with the Falcons, but it wasn't available his rookie year.

"I'm a huge Dick Butkus fan," said Brooking, who named his dog after the Hall of Fame linebacker and collects Butkus memorabilia, "so I'm going to honor him."
