Yes, we are all sickened. D crumbled in the 4th, especially on the last 2 series. Special Teams acted more like special K all game long, poor coverage and even poorer punting, w/the lone exception being Pacman's KR at the end of the game. O was out of sync and completely predictable for almost 50 minutes. And Wade lost his nerve, first on not going for the 1st down in the redzone (all they needed was ONE measly yard) in the Cowboys 2nd score and then not going for the onside kick, not once, but TWICE.
But people are failing to see the forest for the trees. Hope is not lost, truly. Even the great Landry was in this predicament before. Landry's 60's teams were known as "Last Year's Champions" precisely b/c they could not win the big games, at least 4 times they failed in the post season, in heart breaking fashion. And even when they finally got to the SB, Landry's teams lost 3 of 5 times. Even the mighty Capt. America, Staubach himself, only won 2 of 4 SBs. If Landry was fired after the first postseason loss to the Packers, or even the second (the infamous Ice Bowl), or even the following year to the Browns, or the year after that to the Colts in the SB, there would be no Stadium w/the Hole in the Roof, no America's Teams, no greatest SBs ever played, no SB wins likely.
Hope is not lost people, do not fall into the media's trap of sensationalist pug pulling trash (this is anemic to the Cowboys, whatever the era). Rally around the team, just I hope the team is rallying around each other. I know it hurts right now, but with a few tweaks to the coaching staff, this team could still become champions in the future, maybe even as soon as this season.
Keep the faith, stay positive, do not measure this team against the 90's version built by Jimmy, which was completely dominant, think further back, it is much more like Landry's Cowboys of the 60's, 70's, even early 80's. The talent is there.
