This seems to be a difficult decision. If you are Wade and you have the option to recieve or Ko, which do you choose?

Do you play to the hype a little, and not allow the Giants the opportunity to be the first to score in the stadium?

or

Do you ignore the hype and make a football decision only?

also

Would Jerry be in Wade's ear as to what he wants?

In THIS situation I want the ball. I want to set the tone and be the first team to score.

Understandable.

Wade Phillips prefers to defer and play defense first, we'll see if he changes his mind tonight given the special circumstances if we win the toss.

I like to kick the ball first just so we receive the ball after halftime. I think the first few minutes of the third quarter are of more importance than those of the first quarter.

It is especially demoralizing to the opposition if you can score just before the half and then get the ball again to start the 3rd quarter.

I like getting the ball to start the 2nd half, personally

cuz no matter how good or bad you do in the 1st half, you have a chance to do something about the score immediately to start the 2nd

so I say defer and kickoff

Take the ball, don't want the first points scored in Jerry land to be by someone like Jacobs

Same for me.

For the Cowboys, our opening drives are rarely anything special.

It's why the smart coach's, like wade, defer when they win the toss.

I will admit that the special circumstances of this game may lean me toward taking the ball.

I think we want the ball first, if we can get an early lead it will make it tougher for them to pound the running game.

kick off for touchback, giants three and out, felix sixty yard run for the first score in the new stadium. simples

seeing as how it ALWAYS takes the offense 1 or 2 series to get a fire lit under their ***ses and pull their heads out of the sand, better to go on offense first and get the jitters and what not out of the way

Yep. Same here.
