Crazy to think that in his 20 year career he only won the regular season MVP once.

Not really, he really only had a small stretch of years where he was considered the best in the league (debatable still to many)..

The first part of his career he had shaq, wasn't the best on his team, let alone the league...

His first few years without shaq he netted two scoring titles, but his team was so-so

The years lakers were back in contention were his finest... and he won an MVP in 08', the year they lost to the Celts I believe... The two finals MVP's came the two years after when they won...

60 in the finale.....
way to go out....

I missed it. Was on the road.

Dats nice!!!

Impressive was winning 3 in a row(with Shaquille)

More impressive... 2 more without him.

Not many can make that claim. Once you start losing parts (like Shaquille)... You don't always win again.

other than massage thing... Pretty stellar career.

Great night for NBA Probably helped Kobe that Jazz were eliminated from playoffs about 20 minutes before tip off. Still, nice way to go out - Jeter like.

Not really, for at least 8 years he was the 2nd best player on his team, and for the first few years without Shaq, the Lakers weren't a good team. He had a 2-3 year window where he was the best player on arguably the best team, but that was about it.
