That's a large discrepancy from the combine but I saw Marinelli wearing a Tigers T-shirt,who knows what he wants.

Guy hasnt been overly productive in college. Trust the film.

So Michael Sam>Kony Ealy then right? If college production is the only thing that matters. And Trent Murphy must be your #1 DE in the entire draft right?

Not bad. RT @mizzoufootball: #MizzouMade DL Kony Ealy runs an unofficial 4.57 40 yd dash. That would be a PR for him. GP

Probably just raised his stock a little. Id say watch him if Dallas cant trade down

Those pro day times are always on the very good side for the player. Add .1 to .15 to that and you're likely in the neighborhood. Having said that I'm not a big 40 guys although I don't dismiss them. I like the splits and the ten and just watching the guy. Does he turn the corner? Does he have a great first step? Does he have technique and is he coachable?

Agreed. Which makes Ealy's 3 cone drill time of 6.83 (.01 worse than the former RB Barr) the most impressive # you will see him put up. There's 0 doubt about Ealy's athletic ability, especially at 274 lbs. How fast he can learn and how coachable he is will be the determining factor for him. The sky is the limit though if he wants to be great

Broaddus said something very interesting a couple weeks back. He said that scouts trust their 40 times from prodays 100% of the time over combine times.

Ive watched a few Missouri games this yr. And teams focused on Ealy alot more then Sam and Sam reaped the rewards

That doesn't give a whole lot of comfort. Truly great players succeed and perform despite teams focusing on them. His freakish skills and test results coupled with middling performance?

I just had a flashback to Mike Mamula.

Same thing happened to Clowney and Kelcy reaped the rewards

I believe he said that but I don't believe it. OTOH, If someone runs a 4.4 or 4.5 they are fast. So I don't worry about 40s too much although they matter some. TEs who run 4.8 or over don't land on rosters often.

even more reason to trade to 20-25 range and pick up extra second/third

I don't have a problem with that although I wouldn't pass on a playmaker to do so or someone the club really wanted. I'd rather have the extra 3rd. You can get a good safety in the third. And other positions as well.

But Ealy never put up a season like Clowney did in 2012 either. I'd feel better if you moved down got an extra pick and then took him. Something scares me about him.

You never know what kind of difference scouts/coaches come up with than whats released to the media though The info is only as good as the source....or whatever that old saying is.
