That is pretty much standard for a first offense. One DUI offense can happen from one lapse in judgment and the courts tend to be pretty lenient with first offenders and rightfully so. Actually most first offenders are not given any jail time except for the initial night in jail after their arrest; community service is much more common. Most people learn their lesson after one run-in with the law on this issue and there is no point in ruining their lives by costing them their jobs and possibly their families with harsher sentences.speedkilz88 said:The guy needs to hit bottom, but that isn't going to happen if he keeps getting a free pass. However, for repeat offenders I will agree with you. If they don't learn the first time then it is time for stronger measures. So is Robinson a repeat offender or not (or was he before this last incident)?
