TK will be fine, maybe even fantastic.

The only thing I don't like about that group is Theisman "analyzing" the play.
I agree...........shocker;) . I think Tony will be great. I even think he'll outlast Theismann.

Great, a former Washington Post writer and Thiesman worshiper in the booth with Thiesman on MNF. Just what the world of NFL Football needs

There's got to be a better way to watch the game. Maybe on Mute with an internet feed of someone else’s analysis and commentary.

There's a fortune to be made for the bright young land who finds a way to synch radio broadcasts with the time lapse of DirectTV.

Or DirectTV would double Superfan subscriptions if the ability to listen to each team's radio broadcast through SAP was part of that package.

You know Stanley, I like the way you think!

I would agree if I injested some poison and needed to induce :ralph:.

I may be in the minority here but I think Kornheiser will do a fine job on MNF. He epitomizes the voice of the fan and is known to be quite funny using his wit in that popular sarcastic tone of his.

If anything, it's going to be Theisman that we're all going to hate. You won't have to look any further than his recent stint on ESPN's Sunday Night Football as an example of his ineptitude. Something akin to "fingers scratching on a chalkboard" is the best way to describe him when speaking.

I believe you are definitely in the minority on this one.

Oh brother. I'm not real excited about this.

this is Dennis Miller part II

Kornheiser is more funny than he is knowledgeable, although he's not an idiot, but sadly, ABC will need more than that w/ THeismann in the booth

We need a major sports network for the middle US states.

not gonna happen dude. what is there in the middle besides texas?...

i don't know what the big deal is anyway, just go to a bar to watch the monday night game, cause the drunken clamor tends to drown out the announcers :)

As far as I'm concerned, Monday Night Football doesn't exist anymore.

It's now just a game on Monday night.

The big production, the great intro music, the spotlight, the uniqueness of it .... it's all gone.

Someone needs to tell Kornheiser, Tirico and Theismann that their game is no big deal anymore and that nobody cares about them. It's another NFL game, that's all.

Yep. Time to go to places like My Brother's Place and let the atmosphere drown out the 3 shills in the booth.

I'm thinking of hitting a new sports bar every MNF game this year with a group of friends. It remains to be seen if this happens.

It's all about Sunday Night Football this year.

MNF is going to have some growing pains with tools like Thiesman and Kornheiser.

I don't think Kornheiser will be too bad. He's actually an upgrade from anyone they've had at that spot in awhile.

Theisman on the other hand...

Hasn't there been football on Sunday nights for several years now?

Yeah, but it's been on ESPN. I'm sure you knew about the switcheroo.

Mods, can we somehow look up how many times the word "switcheroo" has been used on this board? I'm curious.

Kornheiser just sounds like a dumbed down version of Dennis Miller to me.

Isn't he a Commanders homer?

He writes for the Washington Post but hes a NY native. I wouldn't call him a homer, he openly mocks the team when he disagrees with a move. Everything he says is pretty much tongue in cheek.

Yep, try the search engine above.

For the record, I am not excited about Mike Tirico any more than I am about Theisman and Korheiser.

Just want that to be clear.

Looks like 8 thread already have the word 'switcheroo' in them. I'm slightly dissapointed.
