Kupp to Seahawks

Can someone please explain why we did not just trade for him and take over his existing contract of $12M and $10M????
It's what I would have done. LA had no trade partners, so we conceivably could have got him for a seventh.

LOL, people here didn't think we'd actually sign him, did they?

They paid $8MM for Fowler. They set their own personal FA record. They didn't think they needed to spend more for other players.
Well, it's "up to" $8 million. We need to see the terms on some of these up to deals. Mostly likely there are incentives tied to them.

When news broke that Kupp likely was available you're immediately thinking wow that guy had a 1900 yard season. But when you start looking further you realize that season was not the norm and you're likely getting a 700-800 yard guy that may also be missing time. There are still good receivers out there that can offer similar production.

Unsure how the two are linked....

The two are linked because so many of us wanted Henry last year and all we heard in here was how washed up, old, and injured he would be. He wouldn’t be worth the money. The exact same thing that was being said about Kupp. He will end up being a stud again, and we will end up having nobody.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind the guy for several million but not anywhere near 15. I would like them to get Stefon Diggs. That guy is a dawg once that knee is fixed.

Since We Are Bringing Back Former Cowboy Players Like DE Dante Fowler.
And Since Were Of Kupp Sweepstakes.

Wouldn't It Make Sense We Bring Back Former Cowboy Amari Cooper?

good cuz if we would of signed him, people, especially the GM, may of mistakenly felt that is all we needed at WR. Like I said before, our #2 WR is in the draft - how good we want our #2 to be depends on Jerry & co

edit: don't be fooled, I agree with whoever I was listening to today when he said that Kupp and/or his agent leaked the Cowboys name out there to raise the offer. We might of asked about what he was looking for $ wise and said nah, then they twisted it and used us to raise Seattle's offer. but like I said, good we need fresh legs anyways

100%, Diggs, Allen, Cooper are all in the same tier. Then there's Lockett. I would imagine most of the guys in the 10-15 a year range
