Go Cowboys! :star:

I did a year over there during the first Gulf War it was hot as well...I can't even begin to describe how it was in the summer there....take the hottest day you can think of sit in an all black car inside and out with out tinted windows light the back seat on fire and you might have some kinda idea how freaken hot it gets we only had beduin tents and I had to guess each day what pile of sand my stuff was under the flies were outrageous during the day...the sand was a fine talcom powder...I don't miss it not one little bit

Hey Cas - thanks for sharing those pictures and stay safe.

:) :star:

Sweet pics you are an awesome person. Thanks again..

Thanks everyone! So far I haven't seen any critters over here and I'm hoping that I don't. We had another monster sand storm last night and I thought our tent was going to come apart. It's nice and cool out this morning though, which is probably a residual effect from the sand/rain/mud storm yesterday morning.

The funny thing is, you can go all around the camp and there's buildings and stuff all around, and the only building that is heavily barricaded is Starbucks :lmao:

Yo, casmith. Are there a lot of stray dogs out there? Or is that just in Iraq and Afganistan?

Be safe Cas

You stay safe over there, ya hear? :)

Thanks everyone - I'll post more updates on stuff that's happening as often as I can, as long as it's not classified info haha.

Haven't seen a single one in Kuwait, but I did see some camels running through the desert. It was like a scene from a movie. I also saw a goat herder and his herd of probably 200 goats too.

I appreciate your sacrifice. Stay safe.

My nephew did a year next door. Looks like he is going Afghanistan later this year.

Man that place looks a lot nicer now lol, stay safe sand stroms can suck I broke my back in one back in 98.

Thanks - we're at a pretty decent base, so the safety is not a huge concern.

I experienced two while there - the second one was even worse than the one I got pictures of but it happened at night...scary!

Thanks - and I'm no hero. The real heroes don't come home.
