Kyle Boller ???

I think Anthony Wright looks much more confident playing QB and he's also closer to Romo's type of abilities.

I agree, I've always liked Wright..

Just another guy who may become available who might be a competent backup. Not great by any means, but he's won NFL games. Thoughts?
I really like Kyle Boller because I am an admitted Pac 10 homer. He has a strong arm for sure. He's still young, that could be a plus.

My qualms come from the fact that the supposed "Offensive Genius," Brain Billick, couldn't ever do much with him. I wonder if it's on him or on Billick. Whomever it is on, he has been a huge disappointment.

He's not an option I would hate, but if there is a wily vet option available I still like that route better.

Boller is much taller with a better arm. His days in Baltimore are numbered. With some good coaching, he'd be a great backup.

i dont believe they are numbered, i believe they brought in McNair to tutor Boller so he can fix what he was doing wrong and improve on whats doing right, Mcnair has what? 2 3 seasons left?

Ever since you stopped preaching Ricky Ray, you've come up with some good ideas as possible backups. I think Boller would be a great backup to Romo if we're looking for a younger backup. If we're looking for the experianced backup/teacher player then no way though.

He has been spending some time in Texas lately. His best friend on the team (and Roomate) is Mike Smith. He comes to visit with Mike sometimes. Great guy, ok Quarterback.

yes ...... but usually on the Prophet account ......

Give him a break ..... switching back and forth prolly gets confusing ....
I only have the one account and post under no other names. You are wrong as usual. Quit accusing me of having an alias. It simply isn't true. What? Do you post under various names, therefore, you're familiar with such a tactic. Stop lying about me.

So that's what you think makes a good backup QB? Being tall and able to throw the ball in shorts?
Boller has won NFL games, that's what you look for in a backup. He's a former starter with experience. If he comes fairly cheap, he's perfect. Boller could probably compete with Romo, he has the tools, just hasn't gotten there.

He disappeared faster than Keyser Soze ......

Oh, I'm here and not afraid of your lying words. I'm busy doing other things at times. I don't man this board 24/7 like you. LOL

Boller isn't that tall for a QB, he's about 6'2". However, he has played well in games in the past and played pretty well when he saw duty this season. Overall, he's been a bad QB, but finding a really good backup QB who can start in this league happens very rarely.

Problem is that he'll probably want to go somewhere he has the chance to start and since we'll be hitching our wagon to Romo (most likely), I don't think he would want to come here.

I say it's a pretty good idea, if he becomes available. Glad someone agrees.

Watch the Ravens draft a QB, I don't think they see Boller as their future.

I believe he's 6'3". He's certainly TALLER THAN ROMO.
