Kyle Kosier Practices at Right Guard Today

There's been interesting discussion between zoners suggesting that Kyle Kosier should play beside Tyron Smith and move Arkin to the left side beside Free.

Well, today they practiced that way and below is the link to coach Houck's rational.

I personally think this is a great move. Whether I hear Arkin's strength is adequate enough or not to start.

What are your thoughts?

I think the feeling is that Holland is hurt so this is their best alternative lineup for Thursday's game. I don't have a problem with it. I'd rather see this than 2 inexperienced players next to each other on the right side of the line. (3 if you include Costa at Center.)

I think this shows you how much they think of Arkin and Smith. Free can help Arkin on the left side, Kosier helps Smith on the right side and Gurode still has his safey blanket next to him to help with line calls. I have to think at this point that they know Holland is not athletic enough to play on this line.
