I haven't really seen much giving him his props for his play so far this year. He has shown in these first three games how much we missed him last season. We are averaging something like 10 YPC running left, and no small part of that is due to his ability to throw key blocks on the second level. Felix's TD run vs. the Giants (I believe that Boyzmamacita had the .gif in her sig this past week) is a prime example. Our offensive line has been the brightest spot for us this year, and is playing like one of the best in the league. What changed from the unit last year that looked mediocre at best and was pretty much in shambles by the end of the season? Only one thing: the underrated, underappreciated Kyle Kosier is back.

He's actually surprised me a bit, but in passing situations, he still has work to do.

When it comes to pulling, he's all world.

Exactly. He played injured last year, basically playing with 1 arm. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that the OL can stay intact this year.

Kosier was flat out dominating the run game. Most of those the huge runs if I remember correctly were coming from his and Flozell's side of the line.

Great post and the credit is well-deserved.

I was one who thought the line would be more physical if Kosier were relegated to a backup spot and a bigger guard was inserted into the starting lineup, but what do I know?

I'm biased, but I think Kosier's playing at a Pro Bowl level this season.

Once again, I'm happy to be wrong.

:D

Props, stash on owning up on the hot LG debate. I was always a fan of Kosier's, but I know you weren't alone by a long shot in thinking we could upgrade. He's playing great so far this year.

Big difference in line play when he is healthy and playing. I think the teams most underated player.

He's doing a great job in run blocking. I've watched him closely and he is simnply dominating his opponents. It's fun to watch. Just proves he was hurting last year. Reminds me of Cory Procter (only with talent) lol!!

Ditto that one. Said for years he's been our best (read: most consistent) lineman.

kosier is very solid, but it also goes to show how terrible proctor was and is at the moment when he can make kosier seem like an all pro.

The Cowboys have struggled drafting offensive linemen, but they've done a nice job of identifying and then bringing in veteran free agents.

Kosier has been outstanding (especially the last two games). He's smart, consistent, and very mobile (enabling him to trap and pull).

Very good, unheralded player. Glad he's a Cowboy.
