The Bills are crossing their fingers that switching to Kyle Orton under center will light a fire under Buffalo's 22nd-ranked offense.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport told NFL GameDay Morningthat Orton's decision to walk out on the Cowboys and sign with the Bills this summer was heavily fueled by the veteran quarterback's poor relationship with Dallas starter Tony Romo.

"The relationship, I'm told, between Kyle Orton and Tony Romowas untenable," Rapoport told NFL Media's Rich Eisen on Sunday. "They believed it could not continue, which is one reason that Kyle Orton essentially forced his way out of Dallas and signed with Buffalo as a free agent -- a move that coachDoug Marrone initially resisted because they're paying (Orton) $6 million."

I stopped caring about Orton the moment he sat home and pouted like a spoiled brat until the Cowboys cut him. What a quality teams want for the leader of their offense. Enjoy, Bills.

Kyle Orton doesn't play for the Cowboys anymore and he looked like a scrub today and basically needed Detroit to be Detroit to win.

The report Mike Fisher, who spends a lot of time around the Cowboys says that he does not believe this story. Fisher says he often saw Romo, Witten and Orton eating lunch together and generally hanging around together.

IMO, the bottom line is that Orton's agent convinced him that he could make more money somewhere else. Orton went from 3.25M that he would have received with the Cowboys to 5.5M with the Bills and he got to keep any bonus money that the Cowboys paid him.

Orton couldn't get along with Romo.
Orton couldn't get along with Tebow.
Orton couldn't get along with Cutler.

You are what your record says you are.

Could not agree more.

I think the entire story is nonsense and I'm really sticking up for Orton here. I just don't believe it is true. It makes ZERO sense.

Then why hasn't Orton come out and denied it?

Then why hasn't Orton come out and denied it?

Why should he?

Why should anybody ever give credence to a rumor?

And since it originally came from Mr. Blue Suit, who has a Mendoza line accuracy level with his reporting (and I'm probably being generous), I wouldn't dignify it with any comments.
