No, Dallas should shut own their running game because they aren't very good this year... However the Chargers passing game is really good, so the run game won't matter much anyway.

Despite a few off games, I think our run defense is among the leagues best.

Rarely do I think a back will get more than 70 yards and a TD against us and that's it.

So no I dont think LT will do much, if anything. Sproles will give us trouble in the receiving game though.

LT and Sproles are averaging 3.3 yards per carry so I seriously doubt they do much damage on the ground. Sproles could hurt us on screens though as he is pretty dangerous there and the Cowboys showed some weakness there last week.

i know.. he wont call screens to vincent jackson..Garret should take a que from this "norv " guy... and maybe... just maybe use felix almost exclusively for screens... and not barber or witten

LT isn't tearing things up any longer. I'd be more worried about Vincent Jackson and Gates than him.

IMO that would be the only way LT and Sproles really have much success, with us game planning their pass game so much. I'm quite sure they'd rather shut down Rivers' explosive plays downfield to Jackson and Gates than having LT gain some yards here and there on them.

Thats why I wont be surprised of they rush for 125 yds or so.

I would be extremely shocked, surprised and dissapointed. Every team they play game plans to shop their passing game and they don't run for that amount, and we have a very very good rush D. Heck, I don't even think they ran for that amount against Cleveland's worst rushing D.

And none of those teams are doing crap to stop their passing game either though, are they?

If teams have left 7 in the box to concentrate on their pass attack and still not have been able to stop it, it doesn't mean that we'll put 6 in the box does it?

They haven't been able to run all year and have become one dimensional. All of a sudden they'll run for 125 against us?

And there are teams this year that have shut them down believe it or not.

Reminds me of the Detriot game two years ago. They always passed and never ran...then came out of the gate running all over the Cowboys D. Then afterwards the Cowboy players said they were not mentally prepared to stop the run.

That said, i think the Chargers will come out running.

Not lately. San Diego's scored at least 30 in 5 of their last 7 games, and each of the last 4. Rivers' last 4 games he has completed at LEAST 72% in each game, and is at 76% overall in that span with 7 tds and no picks. His QB rating has been at least 109 in all 4, and in 3 of them its been 131 or higher. He's also thrown for 690 yds in the last two games.

So? You still haven't answered my question. Does that mean we take one more man out of the box to compensate?

How do those numbers lead to them running for 125+ yards against us?

I didnt say they definitely would run for that many yds, only that I wouldnt be surprised if they did because they might concentrate on the pass more. I could also see them maybe come after Rivers more with some blitzes, which might lead to a busted run or two.

Doesnt matter if LT can run on the D. I see the Chargers having very little trouble passing on Wades soft zones. Game could be a track meet through the air.

Thats my big concern as well. I hope we slow them down, but I've got an ugly feeling they are gonna go off on our defense.

I highly doubt it, the Chargers are only getting a little over 3 yards a carry I think. They really are not that great of a running team, probably because they pass the ball very, very, very, well.

They are one of the best passing teams in the NFL, seriously. I would think Wade would use the nickle as our base defense tommorow.
