Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports free-agent OLB/DE Travis LaBoy (ankle, Cardinals) is scheduled to undergo surgery on an ankle later this month, casting doubt on his ability to play in 2009. LaBoy's agents confirmed the plan for surgery, and the ankle injury appears to be the major reason the Cardinals released LaBoy.

If they released while he was injured they might as well prepare for a grievance to be filed.

Unless he got hurt after the Super Bowl, he wouldn't have a case.

He was hurt when we played them.....unless it's a different injury.

Because I wanted a vet replacement for Ellis? You know good and well, the caveat to getting him was always if he could pass the physical. But then again, your comprehension skills have been questioned, even though this was pointed out ad nauseum "if he was healthy".

Clowns really are funny.

And thanks for the newsbreak Woods, this was my biggest concern_his availability for training camp, never mind the entire season.

What? I didn't think that was possible with this unstoppable superhulk.

Then it's perfectly OK for the Cardinals to release him. The only salary an injured player is entitled to is for the season during which he is injured. After that, it becomes an insurance issue.

On March 3, 2008, the Arizona Cardinals signed LaBoy to a five-year $22 million contract with $7.5 million guaranteed.

You could buy a lot of spam with that type of money.

Why is he owned? He's supposed to know about an injury that none of us knew about? Bats have radar, but it's just a username, he's not really a bat.

Vekuine..now Travis LaBoy..I make fun of him for his obsession about University of Hawaii Alumni. And yes he was supposed to know. The first day LaBoy got released he made a thread about us picking him up. He even went so far to put him in his signature. There were also multiple reports about him having a chronic foot problem the same day he was released. He denied it and stated that he would be healthy. So therefore he knew there was an injury problem and he told everyone they were full of it..so...therefore he got owned as usual.

Care to put a bet on that? It would be quite easy to bring that thread back up. Half the board knows that you are a drama queen and a chronic liar, want to make it the WHOLE board?

And fyi, you have yet to 'own' me at any argument. Which is not saying much, b/c you either have no clue when commenting on a topic, or you flip flop like nobodies business.

And why don't you remind me where the "trash player" Veikune was picked in relation to your "obviously superior" Sidbury?

The best part is that I called him and Travis LaBroke.

And he is just that.

Congratulations, you got maybe one right. Even wannabes get lucky once in a while.

If healthy, LaBoy is the type of player that fits the Cowboys new profile_hard working, high character, fiery & athletic.

All I see is trash in that post. I'm not going to even bother commenting on that last sentance. The logic behind that is definitley swiss cheese.

I should have seen that coming, other than your patented mensa like sayings ("owned" & "fail" & "epic fail"), your other tactic of choice is cut and run.

Clowns are funny, didn't know they were cowardly too. :D
