I would have to look at the game again, and I do not plan on doing that, but when I watched last night, with an eye on the OL, I am convinced the problem is the offensive line. They are getting beat at the LOS across the board. The RBs have no running room at all most of the time. They get no movement and often get beat. No one can run behind this OL. That includes Derrick Henry. I give Zeke a lot of credit for getting the yards he got. He was impressive plowing into filled holes and squeezing out a few positive yards.
We knew the OL would experience some growing pains starting 2 rookies, but I don't think we expected what we are seeing now. Zack Martin is a shell of what he was. He gets no movement at all. Even double team blocks are not getting much movement.
And it's not just the run blocking. The Cowboys attempted a screen pass last night with two blocker out in front. Two 49ers defenders came up and neither was blocked. The screen got a couple of yards, bur even 1 block maybe adds 6 or 7 more yards to the play.
Just think out it. How many games to you expect a team to win when the OL and DL are getting beat consistently?
