Question isn’t his talent, abilities, or potential, the question is whether our OC will utilize him properly,….or at all…
Agreed.
It seems we always come back to tha, oldster.
We could draft Stroud and Bijan and fans, by necessity, will wonder if they will be used to their highest potential.

That’s the real question. And he’s not the only guy. There’s no reason not to have Turpin involved in the offense. He’s very experienced as a receiver and they both add super quickness to the offense

I think this could be a matchup nightmare out the backfield. A lot of people are comparing him to Darren Sproles who was one of the best ever coming out the back field, running routes, creating mismatches,” Tomlinson said on NFL Network. “I see Deuce Vaughn in the same light. There’s no way you’re going to stop him one-on-one from running option routes. You can also bring him out the back field, put him on the perimeter. He’s as quick as a gnat and I’m telling you right now, the Cowboys will find a place and find a way to utilize Deuce Vaughn’s skills.”
Didn’t we draft Deuce in the 6th?

Ah yes, the GNAT. Known for its prowess in the 3-cone drill…. There’s gotta be a cooler thing to compare him to than that
"Super Gnat" - Noland Smith Jr - 5 ft 6 in, 154 lbs.
WR/return specialist out of Tennessee A&I (now State) University.
Selected in the 6th round /156th overall by the Chiefs in three 1967 AFL Draft.
As a rookie, Smith led the AFL in kickoff return yardage with 1,360 yards.
Kansas City Chiefs 1967-1969
San Francisco 49ers 1969
39 games__
63 punt returns for 635 yds, 1TD; 82 kickoff returns for 2,137 yds, 1TD
His kickoff return TD was for 106 yards.
His punt return TD was for 80 yards.
"Super Gnat" ranks 18th all-time in kickoff return average at 26.06 yards per return.
Smith rushed 3 times for 6 yards, and had 2 receptions for 57 yards during his pro career.

The Cowboys, as of late, don't seem to be very good at using "specialist" players. Tavon Austin comes to mind, a former top ten 1st round pick that caught 21 passes and ran the ball 12 times in the two years he was a Cowboy.

How did Turpin do last season on offense? He ran the ball three times and caught one pass.

How can a matchup be a nightmare when teams only have to experience it an average of less than 1 time a game?

My gosh, the hype on this one.....

It's funny how many times, in so many threads, folks are already trying to blame any potential future failure on the coaches. "If the OC uses him correctly" LOL

It couldn't possibly be that all the other teams that passed on him were correct, or that he almost went undrafted for a reason.
Don't be so insecure. Be humble and patient. As a true Cowboys fan, you should be excited, not pessimistic. Deuce's college tape against the best teams does not lie...

Can't wait!!!

We shall see I thought that Turpin could have been used more with his speed. Hopefully, MM will use him wisely and not let him just sit on the sidelines.
